Any Tamworth Mums

Just wanting some advice for a friend who is pregnant. She is having trouble getting clear information about her 12 week ultrasound. Can anyone help??

i used to live in tamworth. What do you mean having trouble with clear info??is there a problem with the fetus or not sure what she has to do prior to ultrasound

She is wanting to have the 12 week ultrasound for down syndrom the nuchal fold one, anyway the ultrasound place has told her they dont do it in tamworth and they only do it at inverell??? And its a bit more confusing .... this is what my friend emailed me:

"I just found out o test for down syndrome that you can't be more than 13 weeks and 4 days... so I called scanning place to see if they could change the dates because of this....

ANYWAY... she said no your booked in for a Nuchoil Fold Thickness... which is normally done at 18 weeks and it does not test for down Syndromme... She said I need to have Nuchol fold tranlucency test which Tamworth do not do i have to go to Inverell.... WHAT THE??

I explained the doctor had reffered me and she said he has given me the wrong refferal...... Now, i can't get hold of doctor phone keeps ringing out....

So that is her problem. Sounds all very odd to me cause the 18-20 week scan is called the morphology scan isnt it???

Did you have or know of anyone who had the 12 week scan there?

Doesnt matter now, my friend has changed doctors to Gunnedah. She is happy now. Thanks anyway
