Hi ladies
I dont konw if this is the right place to put this thread but im sure it shouldnt matter. I have a friend who is 21 and wants to concieve twins she has purchased un prescribed clomid off the internet and is now asking me for instructions on how to take it.
I dont know what to do, there is a reason that you have to go to a doctor to get clomid its a pretty powerfull drug and i dont think she should be taking it without the right supervision. Am i right or just over reacting what should i do i have no worries telling her that i think she is an idiot for doing it i just want to know if others think this is as big of a deal as i do.

I wouldn't tell her anything, actually I lie I would tell her to "GO SEE A B*****Y DR". Sorry for yelling Krystal but I agree with you it's pretty stupid thing to do.

What you should do is pretend you want to buy some too and report the seller of them to the police.
I have a friend who wanted to get preggas in a hurry to avoid losing her man...she got preggas with triplets and they broke up when she was 7 months pregnant anyway

Obviously she thinks this will be a sure way to fall pregnant with twins... I have conceived twice on clomid, have twins in my family and both times only had one bubba in there...
I would do what mummycloud suggested... pretend you are interested and then report the seller...
In saying that I was just chatting to my best friend who is a pharmacist and she doubts that she would be able to buy it from a seller here in australia as it was more likely a american seller...
Bit of a worry though...

She got it from India and i had a look at the tablets and they dont look like mine do im actually worried she might be taking something that isnt clomid at all she says that they are diffrent because hers are a generic brand anyway i told her that i thougth it was a little sus and that i didnt think it was safe she still wants to know how to take them im worried if i dont give her information she will just take them anyway with no idea at all.

Tricky.... Every docotor is different when it comes to using it anyway...
If it were me I wouldn't tell her... I would tell her if she wants to use them ask her doctor for what to do!

My understanding is that it's not that expensive anyway..???? So why wouldn't she just go and see a doctor? oh, I get it... because a doctor might not give it to her.
Very dodgy, Krystal. Don't get involved. Tell her she's nuts.

When buying things like this online you're flirting with danger. There is no guarantee that what is actually sold is what's in the medication IYKWIM. I just hope she realises this. I'd be making noises about going to a Dr.

I wouldn't be helping her find a way to take it effectively. Unless she is having trouble conceiving, she should leave it alone. If she is having trouble, she should seek medical advice for appropriate treatment.
She shouldn't be trying to conceive twins - the chances of miscarriage or complications are higher than for a singleton pregnancy.

I wouldn't be touching that with a ten foot pole! Especially if they come from India. Usually, well in my experience, generic brand medication looks very similar to non-generic. I wouldn't be worried about whether or not she will get twins, i'd be worried that they weren't clomid at all!

There is no way a doctor would give it to her just to concieve twins and i told her that i think she is being very selfish there are people out there who would be happy with one healthy baby and will try everything to concieve naturally but she dosnt care i told her im not going to help her and that it may not even be clomid at all i havnt herd from her since i just hope she dosnt take it anyway
I'm worried about your friend Krystal. Sounds like her motives are a bit twisted to start with, but getting medication over the internet is fraught with danger.
I'd encourage her to see a doctor before taking anything!

I have to say this Krystal "Is she nuts or what???"
I'm sorry but that is so dangerous she has no idea what they are, she could be taking speed for all she knows. My God how crazy is she.
I agree some of us are trying to do it the natural way and avoiding things like that. May be she shoudl just try to normal way....like us all....before she starts on drugs as powerful as Clomid.
I'm sorry you aren't talking to her, but on this issue may be it's for the best.

i totally agree with yo guys so there is no need to say sorry to me about it she has the ****s with me now she said im being selfish for not helping her and that she supported me when i decided to try clomid i just dont get it this girl i used to think was so level headed i checked the website she purchased it from and they no longer supply clomid which has me even more concerned were they caught out supplying dodgy products ??????? apart from physically taking the tablets and flushing them down the toilet what do i do???? Shes a big girl and ultimatly its her decision should i just let her go ?????

Hi,
I saw a documentary all about the drug industry in India and elsewhere, it was on the ABC about three months ago. She should throw those pills in the bin. They might be clomid... or they could be diabolically ANYTHING!
I feel like I am butting in a bit, but I had to put my 2 cents in.
Cheers
Rach
I'd tell her you're concerned, explain why, tell her that because of this you can't in good concience give her instructions on how to use something that for all the world could be some weird party drug!
Then its up to her wether she goes ahead with it, just be there if she gets herself into trouble!
Good luck.
