Hi! I really feel like having honey chicken for dinner. I need a recipe like what you get at chinese restaurants you know the one with the batter. TIA.

I would love this recipe too, :fingerscrossed: someone submits one. However, i did find a little recipe that 'apparently' makes good chinese batter, hope it helps :)
Make a batter by whisking some sesame oil, cornflour and egg white together. Dip the chicken/or pork in batter to coat, then place into the hot oil to deep fry for three minutes or until crisp and cooked through. Remove and drain on kitchen towels.

This is the one I make, it's similar to the restaurants but not exactly the same. It's still just as yummy though:
HONEY CHILLI CHICKEN
Suggest making 2 times sauce mixture
1.5kg chicken
Flour
Salt
Oil for deep frying
2.5cm green ginger (optional)
2 tablespoons honey
2 teaspoons cornflour
1/3 cup water
1 tablespoon Chinese Chilli sauce
1/3 cup lemon juice
2 teaspoons soy sauce
6 shallots
Cut chicken into serving sizes pieces. Coat chicken pieces lightly with flour, which has been seasoned with salt.
Fry half the chicken in deep hot oil until golden brown. Reduce heat, cook approx five minutes or until chicken is cooked through. Remove from oil, drain on absorbent towel. Repeat with remaining chicken. Pour of excess oil, leaving one tablespoon of oil in pan.
Add peeled and grated green ginger to pan, sauté gently one minute. Add honey, stir for one minute. Add combined cornflour, water, chilli sauce, lemon juice and soy sauce. Stir until sauce boils and thickens. Add chicken, toss in sauce for three minutes or until chicken is heated through. Add sliced shallots, cook for a further minute. Serves 4 to 6.
