Okay this might not make sense but here it goes.

My gyno is a b**** no one here really likes her.
Shes put me on Provera its a drug that brings on a period, I need Provera because im not ovulating so therefore im not getting a period.

Anyway she wants my thyriods to get corrected to see if i can ovulate by my self, and if not i will be able to o on Clomid.

I was talking to a few girls the other night who said when their Gynos put them on Provera they were also put on Clomid at the same time, and i feel thats what should have happened to me.

Should i get a referal to another Gyno who comes down from Adelaide but once a month to see what he saids???

Luv,

I would totally try and hook up a referal to see someone else. You gotta feel comfortable that the person checking up on your 'important lady bits' is giving you every option available.
Go for it!

Defiinately get another opinion hun!

Theres no harm in that! I have two on the go, I take herbs and have a special diet with my naturapath, and I also see my gyno but he is always soooooo busy and i aways feel like i am getting pushed out the door the minute i walk in, but he is good at his job and i do feel comfortable with him.

Like lil said its your body so go in search for someone who will listen to what you want too!:hugs: :hugs: :hugs: hugs to you, its just horrible is n't it!

I think that to exercise caution is probably what is happening here. Your Gyno - as much as you may not like her - knows your history better then your friends online. If you aren't comfortable with her then by all means switch to another doctor - I know that both myself and DH feel completely comfortable with both our fertility specialist as well as our gyno/ob. Best wishes with your treatment.

Katherine, I agree with all the above posters...I would get a second opinion, but not necessarily just so you can get on the clomid. To be honest, its best to treat the underlying cause and not the symptom. You want to be healthy all around so that your body functions normally, rather than to just try and get ovulating. Its good theyre looking at your thyroid function to try and correct it. In saying that though, that doesnt necessarily mean that you wont NEED the clomid or other means to ovulate and if in the end, your dr thinks clomid is the way to go, then all power to ya! You've obviously been trying for a while, so its kind of a fine line as to what the best course of action is. Hope that doesnt offend at all...just thought I would put a different perspective out there! :) Good luck tho! Would like to know what happens in the end!

I agree with Britt. Sometimes we dont like what our gyno/FS says but they are the experts. I dont like that I have to wait until second AF after my m/c to go back onto Clomid when so many other ladies get to start TTC again after their first AF. But I know my FS is just doing what is best for me and my body and doesnt want me to go through the trauma of another m/c by jumping back into TTC too quick. It didnt stop me having a big winge about her when she informed me of this though! Thats what BubHub is for! Anyways I reckon you should give what your gyno is saying a go and if you are still unhappy with the way she does things in a month or so then definately get a second opinion.

Good Luck! :fingerscrossed:
