my cat is obsessed with food

she has always been somewhat obsessed, but its getting worse every day, she will now jump up on the table while we are eating, and as soon as I have put the plates in the kitchen if I walk out, she will sneak in there and jump up on the counter.
she was recently wormed, and has been checked by the vet what 3 weeks ago, but this is really bugging me.
Its at the stage where I lock here away while the kids are eating, as they eat on a low table, and if they take their eyes off their plate for one minute, she is up there....

It could just be normal cat behaviour but I did have a cat that was obsessed with food and she had a thyroid problem and needed medication. But if you been to the vet, it probably is just normal cat behaviour.

Hopefully perth pony sees this thread as she is a vet, she might have some good advice.

My cat is exactly the same!! He demands to be fed upto 3 times a day, and if you dont, he is constantly under your feet!
