View Full Version : Wedding venues in Brisbane -Please Help
Hi...could you please help me!!!!! I am getting married in August :smiliedance: and idealy we need to set a venue by the end of the week. Our trouble is that we have looked at some and we need some more ideas. We are in the Brisbane area willing to travel up to 45 mins.We want a outdoor wedding preferably with some water and gardens and pretty quiet. The ceremony and reception don't need to be in the same location but if it is that is fine.
Everyones input is greatly appreciated
THANKYOU

I got married at The Grand View in Cleveland. They have some marquees downstairs and the food and service were fantastic!
We had our ceremony at Wellington Point right on the water. You can have the ceremony at the Grand View in on of the gazebos.
The place is fantastic!
Hi not sure why it can't pm me...
My email address is
Hey... the pm would not send so I emailed it to you!!!
Thank you that place looks really nice...I have fixed my messages so that i can receive them...
Thanks again
I'm not sure what kind of budget you are looking at... but Hillstone at St Lucia is just gorgeous.
They do special deals on weekdays, or Sunday weddings too.
Our reception was at the Chifley on George and was fantastic - food and service impecable, all inclusive package (and relatively inexpensive for being in the city) including flowers, decorations, microphone etc, and we got the night, and a stay on our first anniversary included too
I'm sure there are lots of other great venues to
St Lucia Golflinks...... for ceremony and for reception.
It was wonderful; couldnt reccomend it more!

We got married at a gorgeous place in dayboro, the ceremony was held on the edge of a cliff and it was absolutely stunning if I do say so myself!!

St Margaret's School at Ascot now does receptions in their Art Centre. The view over the Brisbane River is so beautiful, especially at night.
Harmony, I have seen that place, it is breathtaking!

We got married at the Golden Ox at Margate. They have a garden area especially for wedding ceremonies & & rooms for the reception. The food was FANTASTIC! Def recommend both them & Glengarrif (my cousin got married there- best wedding EVER) Mum said if she had realised just how good Glengarrif was it would have been worth the extra $ for our wedding (cousin got married after us) But our wedding was very lovely too, and personally I think the food was better. We had a sit down dinner, my cousin had a buffet. Kind of chalk & cheese.
What side of town are you on??
 Hi im at Forest Lake...Thanks for all your help:yelclap:
Our wedding was in 2000, but I can highly recommend Mt Cootha Botanical Gardens & Oxleys on the river for a reception. We had trouble finding a place that did a buffet, which is what we wanted. Oxleys did an awesome buffet at a brilliant price (which we did not expect from there)! Setting was gorgeous.
Having said that, probably completely different now :D .

That's southside isn't it?
Is Mt Tamborine too far away for you?
