i'm wondering if anyone can recommend a paediatric dermatologist in sydney? my echn recommended making an appt for my 2mth old as his skin is looking terrible, and she said it takes a while to see someone...
otherwise, could i take him to a normal dermatologist? i'm guessing they'd know about skin problems in babies as well?
thanks for any help you can provide..

Dr Peter Hogan at Westmead Children's Hospital Medical Centre. He's a paediatric dermatalogist. He is at Westmead and Penrith. Phone number is 47210109. He's good but there was a 3 month wait to see him. Good luck. You'll need a referral.

Just wanted to add that yes you can see a normal dermatlogist if you really can't wait too long. I thought of that too but waited as it wasn't that bad for DD. But if your bub is doing really badly atm you could just look in the Yellow Pages for a local dermatalogist, you'll need a referral for them also. Maybe set up an appointment with a paediatric dermatalogist and then see how bub goes.

Thanks Bibs. I've luckily never had to see a specialist for anything before so when I was seeing my ob and now with a baby I'm learning more about how the medical world works, haha. Can I make the appt before getting a referral and then just go to a GP when I have time?

Yep, make the appointment first then get a referral later. You'll have to wait less than hopefully :fingerscrossed:. Good luck with it all.

Another fantastic dermatologist is Dr John Lewis at Hornsby, he is just wonderful. I cant speak highly enough of him.
