I can only imagine how you feel Pink Lady! How long has he been gone for? My partner isn't in the armed forces, he works away alot but never for more than a week at a time.

I can't imagine not being able to talk to DP for an entire week. We talk daily, sometimes more than that while he's away.

How long has he been gone for?

Only just over a week so far  I really should be used to it by now - but its been different since being pregnant. I've depended on him so much more than I normally would :o

that's what happens when you're pregnant though. They're there to support you and reassure you and put up with you when the hormones hit etc etc.

I feel lost when DPs not here. At the moment he's 6-7 hours away. He left on Monday and he'll be back tomorrow afternoon. I hate it when he's away.

Where is your DH? How long will he be gone for?

Im staying in Brisbane at this stage - only until he comes home in April, then I will make my final decision.

He's made it pretty clear that he wants a single mans life now but i really want to wait till he is here and tells me to my face - its too easy to say stuff you dont mean via email.

I know exactly what you mean. DH went to sea for the first time since rejoining last week, and had to come back in unexpectedly on Wednesday for the night, so I got a valentines phone call, and it was so exciting:smiliedance: . You think after all these years, and now him living away during the week, i would be used to it, but in truth I hate it, I think I have less patience for it now, and after his behaviour in recent years, am far less able to deal with the seperation...and I don't have pregnancy hormones to blame it on!!!

Sharvs, so sorry to hear you are still having a rough trot of it....I think you are doing the right thing, waiting to see what happens when he gets home to his family.:hugs:

I get really paranoid about missing hubby's phone calls when he is deployed, lol. I start to fret if I haven't received an email or heard from him in a few weeks. I hardly leave the house and when I do I forward the home phone to my mobile to make sure that I don't miss any calls. On our first deployment I sat around for weeks waiting for him to call and the one time I decided to go out with a friend for lunch I came home to hubby on the answering machine. I was absolutely devastated that I hadn't been home. I am getting better now, though I'm never with out my mobile, lol.

I remember getting a serious sounding phone call when my ex was in Timor from one of his Officers. Before she'd even finished introducing herself I was in tears because I thought she was ringing to tell me something had happened to him.

She was really just ringing to check up on me and see if there was anything I needed! I told her I was fine until she rang  ! No one had ever rung any other time he'd been away so it scared the living sh!t out of me!
