When did you all start showing??

I am 15 weeks preg and i do not look preg, just a bit tubby around the belly. When i tell people im preg they dont believe me. i have been looking at other pregnant women and they have big bellies at 15 weeks.

at how many weeks did u all start to show?? i am getting worried that i am abnormal

Hi. I didn't look obviously pregnant until about 20 weeks.
I was the same, I saw other people who were the same as me & looked heaps bigger. Most of them were second timers tho & i have been told that you dont tend to show as early in your first pregnancy because the tummy muscles are tighter. By about 18 weeks i was looking a bit tubby & just felt & looked fat but at 20 weeks people started commenting. I am a fairly small build (or I was pre baby :( ) & i didnt get very big until the last month or so.
Dont worry about it too much. I know that i just couldnt wait to have the tummy!

it took awhile for me to show.... cant remember excatly when though! i remmeber lookin at heavily pregnant people and wanting a big belly...
now the thing wont go away and bub is 8 months!!

I started showing at about 22wks and even then only had a small bump..,

people at work used to always ask me if I was telling the truth about being pregnant! Ah hello why would I lie!
I did have really really bad morning sickness so that may have had something to do with it!

Believe me its better to stay smaller for longer as when the bump gets bigger its so hard to be able to do anything....

My girlfriend who just gave birth looked only about 6 or 7 months along when she gave birth! She didn't start showing till around 24 weeks or so!!! But she had really tight abs and swam and kept on going to the gym all the time... Probably had something to do with it...

I found that by 12 weeks my clothes were tight - but I didnt start noticibly showing until I was about 4 or 5 months or so.

With #1 I didn't start showing until around 18-19weeks (probably had alot to do with the "all day" sickness I had until 16weeks!!). I too had the comments "are you really pregnant"!!
With #2 the old "mummy tummy" went straight back into form around 12 weeks!!

I had to go and buy maternity jeans at 11 weeks. I started showing from about 9 weeks and now that I am 22 weeks, people ask me if I am due before Christmas! (I am due late March).

I put it down to genetics - I am 163cm and weighed 55kg prior to pregnancy so I figure there was only one place for the baby to go - out!

I thought I was weird, but liked the old wives tales during my pregnancy.
As soon as I found out I was pregnant I instantly knew it was girl - scans couldn't help because she had her legs crossed!

I bought maternity pants at about 20 weeks, but didn't fully rely on them until about 30 weeks... it wasn't til shortly after that, that people noticed and starting asking.
The old wives tale is that a small bump is a girl - mostly showing at the front, you don't look preg from behind.

On the other hand my step mother was also pregnant, by the time she was 3 months she was huge! I didn't even get as big as what she was at 4 months!
This of course lead me to believe she was having another boy... which she did!

I gave birth on the 15th Sept and she had hers on the 16th Sept...!

My clothes were tight by about 12 weeks and I got a little bump by around 14 weeks.. But I think I've only really just popped out (I'm 19 weeks) and even now, I'm not sure I'd look pregnant to a stranger. :rolleyes:

In the beginning, I sooo wanted a big belly, but now that I realise it explodes in the last couple of months, I'm more than happy for it to stay small for as long as possible!!!

I was growing out of my clothes from about 12 weeks, had a noticable bump at 16 weeks and am VERY noticable now at 20weeks.

Some women dont show until the 20 week mark, others much later.

I'm only short (5ft 2in) and have always had a tiny waist, so when my shape changed almost straight away, it was quite noticable. :)

i was wierd by 12 weeks i was in maternity clothes and was called the pregnant women by strangers ("open the door for the pregnant women" and "asking how far i was") but it wasnt that stange as i sort had a feeling i would go big at the start my mum did as well we both seemed to have a full term belly at 6mnths and it would grow much it was more that baby would fill into it. if that makes sence. But my sister in law was 6 and half mnth preg with twins when she foud out she was preg and was wearing size 6 hot pants ............ i guess everyone different

you go through the tubby stage and then boom at around 21 weeks for me I started to get bigger,now there is no denying it!

Don't worry we are all different you'll get bigger :D

I didnt start showing properly till i was about 23wks!!!
Everyone's different so theres never been a right time as to when you should show! :)
I've also heard with your second you tend to show alot earlier then with your first.

I worked until I was 32 weeks pregnant and I only had the slightest of bumps. Occassionally people that worked casually would comment to others "has Nicole put on weight" to which of course they would laugh and say I was actually pregnant. I didnt really first show until 21 weeks.

I didn't get a noticable belly till I was about 26weeks! Within the next 10weeks my belly grew HEAPS!!! Don't worry that ur not huge now! When u are huge and u have a sore back and tired legs, u'll want to be thin again, just for a day at least!!

I didn't show until about 20-22 weeks (very frustrating!!!) ..

it WILL arrive.. and in no time you will be struggling to sleep/ get up quickly due to your big baby belly!!!!:D you cant WIN!!! :)

I pooped right out at 16 weeks which was luckily about a week after my wedding!!

Everybody is different though. I was HUGE at the end and had a big bubba.

I am 17 weeks now and have just got the thickened belly thing going, no obvious bump yet. This is my second pregnancy my DS is 16 months old and I didn't pop out with him until I was around 5-6 months I think.
Every one is different though so I wouldn't worry....we are all big at the end!! ;)

I'd have to say I envy you! I'm 25 - first child and about 5'4" (in other words smaller than average). I was (before getting pregnant) also of average slim build (about a size AU10). Ive been looking pregnant since about 8 weeks and Im totally sick of it! Whenever people ask me how far along I am and I say 15 weeks they look disbelievingly at me (I look to be halfway or even further). The rest of me looks normal - I just have this huge bump out the front. I'm getting sick of people who didnt show as much telling me I should see a doctor, etc (Ive seen the doctors and I'm fine). Its kind of frustrating how different pregnancy is for everyone because everyone else seems to think what they experienced was "right" and anything else is abnormal which is giving me a HUGE complex (and seems to be worrying you a bit too). I hope because its what you want that your bump begins to show shortly (and Im sure it will) and that you have an awesome pregnancy - best of luck!:thumbsup:

It depended on what I wore TBH. Sometimes I looked huge at 18 weeks, but I only had a slight bump. I really popped at about 22 weeks, at which stage people started realising.

I was quite toned, working long hours, and underweight...

i noticed my clothes were tighter at 8 weeks but never started showing till 5/6 months and one morning woke up and had just popped out. From there, there was no return, i was all baby and ended up huge, putting on 20kg just on my belly and struggling toget it off now!

I am 28 weeks today and all along haven't really been showing. I have said since the beginning I bet I will pop out over night and sure enough in the last week I have grown a belly! :yelclap: Its literally like I went to sleep and woke up with it lol. I haven't seen df for a week and won't see him til Friday and its going to be funny to see his reaction.

With DD I didnt look pregnant at all until about 21 weeks when I developed a small buldge and then at about 25 weeks got a little bigger. I knew I'd wake up one morning and just be all belly...
With this one, I've already got the same little buldge at 11 weeks. I've always been thin, I'm very tall as well, before DD I had this flat stomach. After her, it was never quite as flat. I dont know if that has anything to do with this buldge I've got going... maybe it is a boy after all? Lol.

Well with DS1 I started showing at 12wks, he was born 8pd 6. And with DS2 I had a bump at 8wks, he was a big lump at 9pd 12.
I wish they could of taken more of the weight, now I have to get rid of the weight they have left behind. :)

I started showing at 23 weeks pregnant. Its normal to not show , dont worry you will. people who dont eblieve you are obviously immature and stupid and obviously have not experienced pregnancy! Mys econd one though i started showing at 15 weeks but thats because i had extra belly flab lol.
