ok, im in a pickle....

out of nowhere today, every time i try to wrap DS for his naps, he has thrown the BIGGEST tantrum... screaming, squirming, fighting the wrap, just unbelievable.
never had a problem before.

so at the moment, he is lying in his cot, totally unwrapped.
problem is, i really dont see him falling asleep like this.
I know he will just get overtired and be a nightmare tonight.:(

so, what to do?

any advice?......please?

Try wrapping with one arm out. when my son started to get frustrated I did this and was able to keep wrapping for another couple of months.

I dont know what sort of wrap you use but try to keep in light because they maybe hot and uncomfortable

good luck

Maybe you could try a sleeping bag? :detective:

Hey there...
I do the same as macsmum. On arm out my little fella will not sleep soundly unless one arm is out of the wrap and next to his head.
Something else I do when he gets cranky with being wrapped is a) hold him close to me tight and if this doesnt calm him down I unwrap cuddle him tight till he is pretty settled then try again.

I was going to suggest what macsmum and babyluv said. I did the exact thing with my DD for about a week or so then when straight to the sleeping bag - in fact her sleeps got better. She liked the fact that her hands were free so she could suck on them etc.

Billy read my mind. Once my little man started doing this (at around seven months), I bought him a sleeping bag. He's never looked back. I had planned on doing the one arm out thing, but we gave the sleeping bag a test one day, and he slept for three hours. He's never been wrapped since.
