i was wondering if anyone has easy recipces for toffy

no sorry, I have memories of eating my fillings out with toffee, so I cant eat it anymore:(

I think its sugar and vinegar?:confused:

This is from a really old Womens Weekly card set that used to belong to my mum! An oldie but still a goodie.
Place 3 cups white sugar, 1 cup water and 1/4 cup brown malt vinegar in a saucepan and stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved. Increase heat until boiling rapidly. Boil for 15 minutes or until a small amount, when poured into cold water, cracks.

Remove from heat and stand saucepan in cold water for 1 minute. Remove and allow bubbles to subside before pouring into paper patty cases. Leave 2 minutes and decorate with hundreds & thousands or whatever topping you prefer. This recipe makes about 12 toffees.

yeah, but how do you get them to NOT stick to the paper? im not a fan of eating paper:no:

thankyou so much lol ive been looking for this for ages theres so many new ones out there but i wanted the old ones like back in the school days

some blonde ideas here but i'll give it a go anyways..lol

use the paper foil ones or spray with that spray oil stuff..

rub the inside of the paper trays with oil .. or butter to stop it from sticking

gotta buy some brown vinger and some white sugar (we only use brown sugar in our house and white vinger is only for household uses) then i can make toffee :smiliedance:

i loveg oing to fetes so i can buy toffee but now i can make my own!! :smiliedance:

i uset to go to fates to buy them too i love them lol now we can all make our own :thumbsup:
