Hi Ladies,
My son is 4 months old and has just started teething. Only thing is he is getting both vampire teeth in his upper gum.
Aren't the middle teeth supposed to come through first?
Also any suggestion other than bonjella and baby panadol for helping to relieve the pain for him?
Thanks,
Hiya
I found the Brauers Homeopathic Teething Remedy to be heaps better than Panadol. Really helps with sleeping, esp combined with the bonjela at the worst of the teething times!
Yes, you are right, the middlies are "supposed" to come through first, but hey. Not every baby reads the rule book! Every bub is different!
Like someone said to me: babies dont read the instructions on which tooth is supposed to come first. That vampire tooth was my sons third. Highly amusing and cut.
They're all over the shop...he'll catch up eventually.

Both my DD's liked to chew on something cold, you can buy teething rings with little water bits, put it in the fridge and let your bub chew on it (after you take it out of the fridge - the teether, not your bub  ). The coolness seems to help. Also a wet facewasher (with cold water) for them to suck on worked too. I put those in the fridge too. DP used to take them out while I was cooling them and just assumed I was going crazy!!!

My boy has been teething since he was born & it was especially his eye (vampire) teeth that would rise & fall causing a lot of pain & agony but alas 2wks ago at 8mths he cut his bottom middle right tooth & is now cutting the second along from that ! Go figure ! As they say i wish they came with an instruction manual on delivery !
Ive found he has gone off food as he just doesnt want to deal with it etc he even gives looks of disgust at his bottle at times ! Although he loves his rusks, arrowroot biccies & anything else he decides he wants to chew on at the time.
I agree that the teething rings you can buy to refrigerate are great just be careful though as i just had to return 2 as they leaked the gel stuff !!!!!!!
Ive found it increasingly hard to make him open his mouth for teething gel as he is just in too much pain but panadol or dymadon are life savers especially over the last few nites but im going to try the brauers remedy as ive heard it works well just as nicole79 has stated.

I have been using Brauers Teething in conjunction with their Calm Mixture. They both work really well together. My munchkin doesn't know whether she is coming or going at the moment, she doesn't want her food and has started to wake at odd hours (she has slept from 8.00pm til 6.00am from 6 weeks). At the moment I'm giving her anything she wants in order to keep her happy. She also likes the cool teething rings, especially the soft ones that she can suck on as well. I suppose life wasn't meant to be easy.
hey monyfelix
yup the brauer's teething stuff is great - i swear by their colic remedy too. :D i have tried one of those cold teething rings too (a winnie-the-pooh one, it was given to us) but honestly Nathan just sucks and chews on anything so don't know whether it makes a difference or not.
That is so wierd about the "fang" tooth! But how exciting his teeth are cutting! Can you believe how fast the bubs are growing??

If you can get anyone in Adelaide to go to the pharmacy at the Women's & Children's for you, they have a truly miracle teething paint made with lignocaine (sp?). Magic stuff.
