Hey all

my little one has Eczema - we have been keeping it under control with bath oil & sorb cream.

At the moment we use the sorb cream to wash her hair...but I dont think its the best thing...makes her hair really oily (?sp) can you recommend anything that we can use as shampoo?

Thanks in adv :D

I never used any shampoo, I just put QV bath oil in the water and washed their hair with that.

Hi! I'd be inclined to just wash her with water. There isn't much need for soap/shampoo/etc for little bubby's, and I know that if mine had a skin condition I wouldn't use anything at all  I don't use anything now, just water, and a bit of organic oil for a massage sometimes. Their skin and hair have natural oils which will keep them looking beautiful :)

Also, don't leave her in the bath for too long, the water will dry her skin out.

Different things work for different people....its all trial and error. I couldnt stand the oil slick on my dd and I found the GAIA range fantastic...a beautiful baby shampoo and I also use the bath and body wash, plus the detangler too

I use Dermaveen oatmeal shampoo and conditioner. I used to use just Alpha Kerri bath oil but DD's hair has been getting tangly recently so I've started to use the Dermaveen stuff. I got the Dermaveen pack free when I joined the Eczema Association of Australia.

I've used the Gaia shampoo on DD and its fantastic. It smells so good and it didn't effect her eczma. They also have body wash and moisturiser and conditioner.

I use the DermaVeen Oatmeal Shampoo, and the DermaVeen Soap Free Wash, and it works a treat. Has really helped my DS.

I use one from the chemist called Natural Instinct. Seems to work on very mild eczema, as in doesn't inflame it.
