 How are you?

Well, I got my BBH today (thanx Jacksonsmummy!) but I'm completely confused as I've never tried to use a nappy like this before...

It's got 2 snap-in bits. One long one and one short one. Now the long one is actually longer than the nappy is, so how is it supposed to be folded inside?

There are no pictures on the website to help me...

Can anyone explain? I feel like a knob!

Attach the short one to the snaps near the back of the nappy and the long one at the front and just fold it so it fits inside. You can fold towards the front for a boy or middle for a girl. If you want written instructions posted to you PM me as I'm rubbish at describing it!

The great thing about BBH's is that you can use the snap ins however you like...

For example...I have a boy, they wee at the front more...

so, I use the small insert on the front snaps then the long one on the back snaps and fold the long one over aswell so there are heaps of layers at the front but not many at the back...IYKWIM

If you have a girl you want the bulk underneath, so you might have the small one at the back then the long one folded at the front...IYKWIM....

Oh it needs diagrams doesnt it:o

And then, do you put the booster on top of them or underneath them?

guess you could do either?
although i've never used a booster with a beehind, there's always been more than adequate absorbency from the 2 snap in inserts.

Oooo I tried it on him tonight and it was so FAT! Not so much just the nappy but when I put the PUL cover on it was HUMUNGOUS. I mean, a big fat cloth bum is nice but... that was just ridiculous!

You'll be used to them in no time :D They are a great nappy
Regarding inserts and boosters- it depends on the child. I always need to have something extra in there for Ariene during the day- and at night she has both a bamboo terry booster (a 'bambooster' from nuture nappies) AND a bamboo fold-up. But I think that most people just have a bamboo fold-up or equivilent as an extra for night. With this little girl, I do have to go a little nuts with the boosting side of things for most nappies o/n
