Hi All,
I have posted this thread on general chat but only got one reply so i am hoping if i post it here you wise ladies will help a few of us ladies in TTC in the new year.
I am sure there will be a few ladies who can help us.
Our question is what is the best OPK on the market? what do you recommend as we haven't used one yet and i am give it a test run next month before the new year.

Hey sweet, your thread looked lonley so i thought id jazz it up a little!
The bad news is i havent tryed then before :o but id wouldnt mind giving them ago to see what to expect, i have heard of ladies on here saying that ovulating is detected by saliva, and that ferns appear on the stick when you ovuate, if i can remember i think it was called fortel, and it comes with 4 ovuating detectors and one pregnancy test, thats all i can tell you im sorry

Hi Wendy,
I am currently using a fortel OPK, but it is one where you have to pee in a cup, I've never tried the kind with the fern.
I have really weird cycles, so rely on an OPK to help me out. It took one year to conceive my daughter. I didn't know that OPK's existed, but the final month when I did buy one I fell straight away with my dd. Not sure if it was a coincidence or not.
I'm currently ttc and again I'm using the fortel OPK. Currently on cycle day 23 and waiting to o. Hope I didn't miss it :(
Good luck to you.

I've bought two Fortel OPKs, and that has been all I needed.
One gave me DD#2, and the other one has resulted in baby #3 under construction.
I bought a maybe baby, and NEVER saw ferns after MONTHS of trying, even the months I conceived both babies by using the OPKs.

Dee-dee & aardvak- Thank you for replying to my question i will go out and buy the fortel brand for my cycle next months. Thank you again.
Wendy
I used all the supermarket brands and any I could get in the chemist but the ones that did it for me (and you can buy them in bulk too) were from www.lullabyconceptions.com
They're much cheaper than the supermarket brand which work out to be $4-$5 each! These ones are as cheap as $1.75 each!!
Have a look if your interested in OPK's
Oh and good luck!

Hi Wendy,
Take a look on ebay. That's where I got mine. I got 20 for about $15 including postage. They are from Fertility Nautropath and they have a webiste for support and everything.
I've only just starting using mine, so can't comment but fingers crossed. I found the website really good they tell you exactely when and how to use them and help you interpert the results.
Good luck.
