I'm from London and arrived in Sydney round Easter time. Have found it a great place to be, full of friendly people and great views. Don't think much of this rain though - too much like home!
I have my first baby - a girl - on the way in April 06 and would like to make contact with other mums to be in Sydney - particularly any in the North Shore area who might want to meet for coffee.
I worked for the first few months I was here, but now free during the day and sometimes get lonely for chats.

hello i live in the north west (hills district) i lived in the northen beaches (palm beach) but we didnt have enough room for all the kids where on the north shore are you i would love to meet up the only trouble is finging time with my twins at home all the time

My name is Alison and I'm orginally from the USA, and my hubby is from Sweden, so we're in the same boat as you, with all our family overseas, and we also have a new baby girl on the way in May. It's a little scary to think we won't have family around to help!

I think it's a great idea to try to reach out and make new friends, especially those in the same situation, as we can create our own new family! :)

I'm located in Bondi, so it's a little bit far from you, but perhaps we can still catch up in the city from time to time or something!
