View Full Version : Question Re: Slow Cooker Casseroles
I was wondering how you guys make your casseroles in your slow cooker?
And what ingredients you use etc to make it? And how long you cook it for?
And if anyone has made a sausage Casserole how long you cooked it for too?
Hear from you soon

How long would you cook a sausage Casserole for anyone?

I would probably try about 3-4hrs. Check it after that and if the sausages and veges aren't cooked put it on for longer.
Would you pre-cook the saussages or put them in raw.

If you want them brown I would pre cook them just a bit.
If that doesn't worry you just throw them in but don't stir them until they are cooked otherwise they will fall apart.
When I make mine I cut my sausages up into smaller pieces and I find it easier to do if they are still partly frozen.
they arent frozen - in the fridge atm.
I was going to cut them up into pieces, so i guess Ill cook it for 3-4 hours then :)
Never made a casserole of any kind so i gues the potato/carrots would be cooked too by then.

Yep, should be yum.
You won't need to add to much liquid either. Just enough to cover everything. I usually just add a tin of whatever soup I have in the cupboard.
Have fun cooking!
Thanks for all your help, it was much appreicated.
Im glad there are plenty of bubhub mums out their willing to help us all.
