View Full Version : baby shower
 just wondering what other people think, is it alright to have a baby shower and invite both females and males and make it more into a party than a shower, i think it might be nice for my husband to join in all the fun.
ive only ever seen women at baby showers, but thats not saying you cant hold more of a 'party' than a 'shower'
not sure how many males will throw their hand up to come :D but it sounds like it would be a good idea to try it anyways.
its nice that u want to involve your partner!
DP's mates girlfriends shower was a male/female affair. i see no problem with it.

i think its a great idea as long as you remember to make games the men can play to. ive seen unisex showers on foxtel discovery channel. they seemed great. they had a game where they bought 5 baby bottles and filled them with beer and the guys had to chug them like a baby. they did groups of 5 and then the winners of those groups competed till they had a winner. it looked like fun.
just an idea.
I fully intend on having a couple of males at my shower. They are my friends and I cant see a reason to exclude them just because they have you know whats! They are pretty fine with womens stuff any. Certainly not 'blokes'

well my baby shower was a sucess!! the males all got into it eventually after afew whinges at the start.. but once one did it they followed like sheep! they had a good laugh at each other and it was fun. I always love seeing grown men making toilet paper nappies on each other , seeing how well they know nursery rhymes and looking at their faces when they have to guess what typa chocolates melted in a nappy!
i would highly recomend mixed baby showers!
