I am 21 weeks and over the last week and a bit I have been getting a tingling sensation on the inside of my right heel.

It happens when I stand and apply pressure, ie take a step or turn, but not every single time. I imagine that it may be the extra weight adding pressure to nerves in that area, or something similar to carpal tunnel sydnrome in your wrist? I was wondering if anyone else had had a similar problem? I wear flat shoes every day and word at a desk five days a week.

It could be the start of some sciatica.

You could try seeing a chiropractor, or a remedial masseur, but if you look for a massuer, make sure they have a good knowledge of anatomy to be able to effectively treat the problem.

Hi aardvark - thanks for that. I did a little bit of research on the net and learnt that you can get tarpal tunnel syndrome (same as carpal fyour hand) which effects a set of nerves in exactly the same spot I am receiving my pins and needles in my ankle. Several sites (and my naturopath friend) suggested 200mg of B6 daily with meals so I will give that a go.

On an aside I have also noticed I am getting pains in my lower back and sides so a visit to an osteopath is probably not a bad idea.
