Hiy'all,

this is prolly a dumb question, but I always thought there wasa fixed number of days between Ovulation day and the day of your period and that it was the days preceeding ovulation that could vary.

Is it possible to ovulate a day earlier than usual but still get your period on the normal day, or has ff calculated incorrectly?

Sorry for the boring question... I am doing my own head in as usual. And I thought ttc was going to be a blast!

There is no fixed days. Ovulation usually happens between 12 to 16 days before your period comes. But since alot of us dont know the exact day our period is going to come its hard to pin point when we will ovulate. And then there are some women that simply dont ovulate at all (like me!) without the help of fertility drugs. But normal women such as yourself should ovulate anytime between days 12 and 16. As you get to know your cycles better you will probably know exactly what day you are ovulating especially if you are lucky enough to have very regular cycles. So the answer to your question is 'yes' it is possible to ovulate a day earlier than usual but still get your period normal day. I dont use FF as there is no point for me but as far as I know FF rarely makes mistakes! Correct me if I am wrong girls.... Hope I have helped...

Just a suggestion. Try googling 'billings method'
You should find an american site which explains all this in detail with charts.

Thank you so much for your responses.
After reading some of you couageous people's story's, I feel very fortunate to have normal (ish) cycles.

I usually ovulate on day 18 though and have a 28-29 day cycle. Is this okay??
