Hiya Ladies,
I thought it would be nice idea if we shared what we had in mind for decorating our new bubs nurseries. Later we could post pics or post pics now of themes we have in mind. It might give ideas to people who havn't decorated for one sex or the other.
I absolutely love decorating and have gone mad on dd and ds's bedrooms, And now that I know what I'm having I have found this theme that I just adore

I only just found out Im having another DS but I knew if that were to be the case I'd like to change the nursery abit from what DS1 had. DS1 is moving into the bigger room so I'll keep the same wall colour but add different acessories....not sure which ones yet tho.

What a cute package!! YOu must be so excited at having the chance to do some decorating! Unfortunately we dont have enough bedrooms in our house to have separate nursery:thumbsdown: but i am sure i will come up with something cute! When i know what i am having i can start looking;)
well so far the nursery is painted white and the feature wall is purple, it was this colour when we moved in, because i am having one of each im not sure what colour i will change the walls to yet, most likely most things will be netural colour , man now im thinking of it its harder with one of each lol

Unfortuanatly we don't have enough rooms to have a "nursery" as such. DS & DD are moving in together and the baby will go in DD's room for now, it depends on what sex it is as to what we do after that, if it's another boy, it will move in with DS when it's about 1, but if it's a girl it will move in with DD onto the bigger room, and we'll have to re-decorate the smaller room for DS.
It's all very complicated, and DF is freaking cause if it's a boy it has to sleep in a room decorated with butterfly borders for a year, lol!
i have bought my bubbas matching cot quilts althou in blue and pink and my new cot is coming today so i can start making it look like a twin nursery

Does anyone know any online shops that have a nice variety of Cot sets. Like the 6 piece sets that come with top sheet, bottom sheet, quilt, blanket etc?
I bought one for DS but want bubs to have a new one of his own and I can hardly find any that I like.

I'm not really into lots of baby baby stuff.
We have a theme of natural and simple... I'm sure it's driving my mum crazy, cause she loves all of the poo bear/tigger stuff.
Just off the side of our room is a smaller reading room we are going to pop the baby in there and so instead of baby mobiles and things stuck to the wall. We are going to hang those chinese paper balls, in different sizes and colours, and origami animals that i have been making through out the pregnancy.

:smiliedance: We have a nursery theme! :smiliedance:
We are doing it in a playgro pond theme, i'm sure you have all seen bits of it, it's the frog, turtle, duck and caterpillar. Mostly blue, green and purple.
Seeing as we don't want to change the walls, they are purple with a butterfly border, we thought if we do a pond theme the butterflies will fit in, even if we have a boy.
So the buying starts! I just bought a whole heap of stuff off e-bay and in the next month and a bit we will be putting the nursery together peice by peice, so i will share photos when it's all done...
How is everyone else going? Any rooms ready to show off yet??

Hey mumma_jessy playgro has such beautiful themes and the pond theme is adorable.
My bubs room is practically done other than the skirting and curtain rod. Just waiting for hubby to finish of so I can take pics. Now I have 14 weeks of absolutely nothing to do. I have even washed all her clothes, blankets and bedding - I'm such a freak
Can't wait to see the pics!!

Last weekend I bought a new cot set for the nursery. With DS we had ALL blue. Everything was blue,
We decided to leave the walls the pale blue that they r (I couldnt be bothered painting!)
The room already has a cot, chest of drawers, change table and feeding chair so it's more decoration that needs to be done.
This is the cot set (http://www.kidslineinternational.com/products/infant/monterey.php)I bought
Just waiting till DS is finally moved out (hes moving into the bigger room on Sunday) to get it all set up for a bub!
i am buying curtains and a rug for the floor this weekend, not sure what kind thou , i also wamt to put pictires of balloons on the wall but havent found any yet
