My husband and I live in adelaide and are desperately seeking a kind hearted wonderful generous woman to help us achieve the family we have always wanted. As a child I battled serious illness and now we have been told our only hope of a child of our own is by donor eggs. I long to look into the eyes of a newborn angel and feel the horrible emptiness be replaced by joy and hope so that we can be a whole complete family. thanks for your kind words of support jojo, I wish you all the best on your journey too!,I have known for 12yrs that I would need a donor so I have had a lot of time to think so this is not a light descission for me the doctor told me when I was 20yrs old having been sick for a while, that I would never fall pregnant natural Im lucky to have the most supportive husband but we both long for children, we have seen many different doctors,we would love to find a special women to help us achieve our dream of a family.

hello girls just thought I would check in again had some offers but they fell through they were from an advertisement in a local paper but as soon as I sent the information out about donor procedures I never heard back again(wasnt meant to be so here we are again trying to find our donor angel:angel: I am making use of the time seeing a naturopath and trying accupuncture it just seems that it is better to try to be positive and take action and try to stay healthy in the meantime,I hope you are all well and that there is an answer for all of us out there :wave: bye for now bubblebaby.

hi ladies first of all i have to appologize for being off air for so long but have had heartbreaking setbacks lately since last time i logged on had 2 failed ivf cycles and 2 egg donors fall through at last moment so have been on rollercoaster of emotions plus have been unwell and overseas for a short time but just to update am still looking for egg donor angel but am hoping someone in adelaide this time cheers bubblebaby:no::geek:

thanks for the good wishes zoe am trying not to get too disheartened by life at the moment but will keep positive was supposed to be going for donor cycle next month but fell through so i am frustrated but maybe everything is for a reason cheers bubblebaby:doh:dont let me burst!!!!!!!!!!.

hi everyone i was just reading the section on if you are a donor would you accept gifts for donation and my husband and i feel that there is nothing wrong with showing gratitude for such a heartfelt gift but not as a form of payment or reinbursement but as a small thankyou,there is nothing wrong with giving a friend a necklace or a ticket to a show,i am not talking about large amounts of money or expensive holidays because that is illegal but of course people feel the need to say thankyou in a small way just so the person has a token of thanks that can remind them of thier generous gift after all the recipients always have the child to remind them . i know a girlfriend that had her daughter through donr egg donation and the two are now friends and she gave her a lovely heart necklace with a picture of her daughter inside and they often have coffee togrther to catch up they are not constantly in each others lives but it is a relationship built on mutual respect,and it was nice to see an ivf donor story work out so well. cheers bubblebaby:flowerz:

My prev donor and I still keep in touch, I send cards and pix, we're not in each other's pockets. I would like to see her more often but am going by what she is happy with.

thats good that you both keep in touch and that everything worked out, even if you do miss her a bit at least you both keep up to date and get along really well, i think i would be happy with whatever was comfortable with both people,it would be good to find someone from adelaide for that reason but i would also definately take someone from interstate as well,i know some clinics offer annonymous donors but the lists are long and you kind of dont get to thank them for giving you something so important,sometimes i think i type as much as i talk:ecomcity:,cheers for now bubblebaby oh and good luck again with your donor :angel:.

i was just reading the sucsess stories from people that found a donor through bubhub wow! what an uplifting section i want to be a bubhub sucsess!!!!!! all the letters of support and congratulations make you feel very good inside even if i havent found my donor angel yet i couldnt help grinning from ear to ear at how happy everyone was, my clinic also only likes to put one embryo back but when you read the percentages of pregnancy rates the ones who get two put back in seem to have a higher rate of pregnancy outcomes so i personally thing it should be an individual choice and depend on individual circumstances!!, but to be honest twins do seem a bit of a handfull!!!,cheers for now and lets all hope its a :bfp: for everyone else this year too ,bubblebaby;)

Bubbles, isn't it great that you can find an angel here at Bubhub, :). All you have to do is be positive and chat away, it's that easy, :yes:.
I found my donor at AED and Bubhub, she's at both!! But we started chatting on AED when I first joined in Jan this year, we had lots in common [ kids stuff ] :D.
You never know who will surprise you !!
I have made some nice friends at both sites, that's what I joined for, to find people in the same boat as me. It's worth it to do everything to find just the right one for you. You must think hard about whether you want a known donor or anon, and what you both need from the relationship, what you are happy with, once you have a babe in your arms, it's hard to go back. But it's so rewarding to have a special lady in your family, especially if you're friends!

I'm funny about transfer, don't have caffiene, anti-perspirant, alcohol, nothing naughty. you only get that chance so am wary of everything.
Also staying positive helps, you'll get your chance too, make the very best of it when it comes, :yes:.

yeah it is too easy in this world to get down and i think what people forget is that they are not just dealing with the heartache of infertility and donor eggs but they are also dealing with all the other stresses of life that other people deal with as well and it can get you down if you let it:hair: the trick is to always smile:)dance:smiliedance:and never get too frustrated:geek:while you are on your :detective:search for your missing donor:angel:cheers milo!
