Hi I'm a mum of a 2.5 year old daughter and we are having a little trouble with toliet training. Every morning we sit on the potty and go. Thats fine, then we put our undies back on and if I don't catch her she'll go in her undies poo and we. Without telling me, but today she went 3 times on the potty. Which was a record for her. Any tips on toliet training. I also have a son who will be 1 in 2 weeks. thanks Alison 27. :)

All I can say is persevere.

My son is nearly 4 and although he was fully trained, he is still trying to grasp the concept.

Then my daughter has just turned 2 and she is going all the time, maybe one accident a day. I haven't a clue to the remedy and please if you find one pass it on to me.

As for the 1 year old ... how bout starting him now?? in the book "Toddler taming" there is a section on toilet timing and the process of teaching a child to go to the toilet as part of their routine .... I'm considering doing it with my next bub. Mum says this is how all her friends and herself trained way back then and I was trained by 11months.

Hi Eleanor thanks for the tips. My daughter for the first time this morning with me only saying it once. Sat on the potty and went wees first thing in the morning and then went wees again on potty at about 10am and then without me saying it she also went the other too. I am so proud of her. Mikayla likes to carry the pull out poart from her potty and i let her flush it down the toilet, then she wipes her self and washes her hands and drys them. Then i get out her little gold stickers and put 1 for each time she goes on her chat. She loves that. I,ll try my son soon on the potty too. Thanks Alison :) Alison 27 Mark 33 Mikayla 2.5 Bryan 11.5 months :p

Hey, congrats on the success! You'll find she'll probably just 'click' into it one day, thats what i found with my DD who is nearly 2 1/2. She was like that, we would go to the potty first thing and she'd do it, fine, and then she wouldn't bother telling me when she needed to go the rest of the time. I just started putting her on, say, every 1/2 hour, and one day she just started doing it all by herself! Amazing! I think it just takes time, like everything i guess, for it all to stick in their minds....

Amazing how they'll learn all the 'bad' things really quickly though huh? lol :p

Hope everything continues to go well!

Kids tend to ignore those feelings if they are busy playing so it's best to keep asking just in case!

I had both my older kids tt a month after their 2nd birthday and they have both night trained themselves...DS at 9mths and DD at 22mths. No accidents from either of them but I feel that's because they had their mother 'nagging' at them every few hours asking if they needed to go to the loo... :p ! TT can be such a stressful time as the parent doesn't know when they want to go and the child is still learning when they should go. Patience and Persistance is what worked for us.

Hello all,

Well this is very general problem of children.I think most of the parents are facing this problem. Now lots of medication present for that but you know body of child is very soft so parents are very careful in medication.
Haritaki dosages (http://www.drugdelivery.ca/s33666-s-HARITAKI.aspx) are used for this problem as i heard on various online pharmaciticual companies .
