Well i started having a what i though were braxton hicks on saturday night, while i was in the bath with ds1. They continued during the night but they were nothing, that i thought, to be concerned about. Ds1 woke around 5am and decided to jump in bed with mum and dad when i noticed the contractions getting more painful and closer.
I decided that i had better start timeing them and they were comming every 5mins. Rang the midwives at 6;30 am and they said considering ds1 birth was pretty quick (2hrs and 5mins) that i had better start making my way in and if it wasnt the 'real' thing they would just send me home.
Started heading to the hospital and remembers that i had left my mobile at home told dh to turn around, he thought i was mad but did anyway.
Got to the hospital around 7;30 am and just after that the contractions started to get funky. After about three more contractions i was told that i wouldnt be going home and that bubs would be here soon.
Then i had the urge to push and my waters broke and two more (painfully large) contractions i pushed and Billy was born at 8:10 am.
Mind you i asked for the drugs but the midwife said that she wouldnt even make it out of the room and bubs would be here. Managed to get 2 whole sucks on the gas beore he was born.
