Hi everyone,
I’m a new member to the Bub Hub and honestly have never posted anything online before so you’ll have to excuse my ignorance in regards to forum etiquette and abbreviations.
I’m 26 YO Sydney sider, and my hubby (33) and I have been TTC without luck for almost 2 years now.
I thought that my ‘stress pot’ personality was to blame and tried to take the advice that every second person tells you. “Stop trying so hard and it’ll just happen”. After exotic holidays overseas, health & lifestyle changes and every other possible thing that we’ve been told to do, we’re almost 2 years down the track and those elusive twin lines have still not shown themselves.
After many tears, lots of disappointment and a hell of a lot of frustration due to ‘not knowing why’ we’ve taken the inevitable step of seeing a specialist. When initial test results came back all okay, I decided to go under and I had my first laparoscopy on Friday. We’ve got no solid results at this point as we’re yet to see our doc in person again, but from the results in the Op report that he sent us via email, the basic consensus is possible tubal disease as the Dye test they did showed a significant lack of flow through one of my tubes and no flow at all through the other.
I guess I just wanted to know if anyone else had been through anything similar, what options you were presented with and what steps you’ve since taken.
Hope to hear back soon! My fingers are forever crossed!
