i need to find a place to get married and have a reception in brizzy gold coast area anyone have any good idea that wont send me broke i wanna have a garden wedding

Well in Brissie you cant go past the botanical gardens, they are so beautiful! Other than that there are loads of places like golf/country clubs etc that have beautiful gardens...

Or there are some beautiful spots on Mt Tamborine... Perhaps do a google search for Brissie gardens and see what you come up with.. Or buy a bridal magazine (QLD based one) and that will most likely have heaps of location ideas...

Otherwise go for a drive around in areas that you like and see what praks/gardens they have in the area... Then contact the council for approval...

We had our reception at St Lucia golf links (now called Hillstone) and it was really beautiful.

We got married in a church but you can also get married at the golf links near a nice water fountain overlooking the course.

It's very elegant without the price tag. We had the full course meal for $75 per head (incl alcohol) but you can get cheaper packages than that - like cocktail or something.

The function room that we had it in was also nice and a bit different. It's like an old queenslander and you have your meal and speeches upstairs then go downstairs to party on the dance floor with a bar and lots of cafe style tables and couches overlooking the lit course. I thought the room arrangement was odd at first but it ended up being great as I found my guests mingled more and it didn't feel like you were in a "typical" big wedding ball room.

The staff were really professional and didn't miss a beat.
