I'd agree with the average in Annandale starting at about $300 and thats fairly conservative. It does depend though on which part of Annandale. Obviously the older part is slightly cheaper than the new areas. My friends rent out their four bedroom house (with a pool) in Annandale for $430 a week.
Any reason why you only want Annandale?

I wanna be near my dad
How well do you know the area? There are suburbs like Idalia and South Townsville which border Annandale and would have cheaper rent. Also Wulgaru is just across the road and would be cheaper too (though general consensis is it can be a bit rough over there. Can't speak first hand on that one).
have not been there in ten years. I have no car or anything, so I would prefer to be walking distance to my dad.

Fair enough, I understand that.
I'm afraid I can't be more help then short of suggesting realestate.com. One of the main reasons rent in Annandale is so high (although it's high all over T'ville) is that it's so close to Lavarack and therefore attractive to service families. Because their rent is subsadised if they rent privately, the land lords know they can jack the prices right up and still get tenants.
Good luck house hunting. Townsville is home to me- wish I was moving back there:crying: !!
thanks :) yep, dad is in the army:yes: might consider it myself, get my rent subsidised:p

 Yes one of my biggest regrets was not joining. Compromised and married a soldier instead lol. I'll have to find myself a new soldierboy now that he's left  .
I can get a job as a fitness instructor/PT. thats the only thing I would do. wonder if I can get daddy to pull strings:devil6: just joking.

Sure, I'm not in a position to be picky!
Hi, we were paying $340 a week in Annandale but have now moved into a much nicer house in Riverside Gardens for $280 a week. Both houses are 3 bedroom, double lock up, air con only in bedrooms. Riverside Gardens is the next suburb over from Annadale and much newer.
I lived in Annandale in 98 and it was $240/wk for a four bedroom house back then! Which side of Annandale is your dad - if he's on the river side you could always go aitkenvale and walk across Aplins weir.
