Hi everyone
Dh and I thinking about selling up and moving to Tassie
We have been looking at land, and have found some land in Beaconsfield (it's sooo cheap!) Just wondering what the area is like? People, schools, shops etc? Or is there anywhere else that you would recommend? We want at least 5 acres, but not too far from Launceston (prob less than an hour), cause I'm planning on going to uni to study nursing in a few years.
We are thinking about buying land before we sell here
All help will be appreciated!

:hugs: Anne

Nooo idea but I wouldn't imagine it to be a very big community?

hmmm, I'd be careful about buying anything in Tassie, unless you've actually come down and seen it first.

I live in Launceston and Beaconsfield is a fair distance from the city. If you were going to uni as well... I'd look at somewhere different?? Bridgenorth, maybe??

My SIL's father bought a place in Tunbridge (it was advertised as an hour or so from Hobart city central) but it's waaaaaay out in the middle of nowhere!!

Beaconsfield is nice, very little - not much in the way of shops etc.

Distances are different down here... and there isn't anything in between the small towns (and Beaconsfield is small!!)

sorry to be so down on it!! I would hate you to buy something and then find it's not where you want/you imagined it closer to the main centres...

Hope you find something nice though!! :D
