Hi all,

I am half way through my TWW - but the anxiety is killing me! (My chest feels very tight a lot of the time). It took me 6 weeks to O, so I know if it is a BFN this time, I have to wait another 5/6 weeks for another chance!

Am trying to keep busy and exercise, etc, but that doesn't get me though the quiet moments! Has anyone got any other tips to keep the stress at bay?

Many thanks,

Mini

Hi mini..... Sorry I don't have any tips other than to keep busy with things that don't involve TTC (yeah I know how hard that is). It would be really hard to have long cycles, have you been to see anyone as to why they are so long? Big :hugs: to you I hope it goes a bit quicker for you.

I'm hearing you. I too have long cycles...well usually. I'm very irregular, which is a pain when ttc. As far as keeping busy, i'm no good at that either. I think it is the unknown more than anything, then the wait, it is such a long process. with my DS I expected to take a while so really didn't ttc, but did within a cycle. which makes it all the more frustrating for this one. Good luck, and hope you're keeping busy :)

 Mini, another Anxious TWW'er here, though, I am very very grateful my cycles are short, it still ends up the same amount of waiting.. just waiting, waiting waiting for teh BFP. One thing I started doing was makign a quilt for my baby 2 be. Its been really relaxing. Ive also started a Garden, a TTC Garden. I plant something new each Month... So far, I have 3 Plants, a Snail Vine, a Chilli Plant and a cactus! - I want to keep planting after I get my BFP.

I also found buyign a speedball very very relaxing! When I get all agro and mad that Im not UTD yet, I go APE on my speedball.

:hugs: 's and hope a bubba is closer than you think.

I know how you feel... having PCOS i dont actually O at all on my own so need fertility drugs to make me O and with them its a bit trial and error to see if the dose is going to work or need to be stronger etc so my cycles have been pretty long.

My 1st cycle went for 179 days - march to August i think and only ended because i started fertility treatment.. Od on CD164!
2nd cycle was 37 days and Od on CD23
3rd cycle was 65 days, Od on CD50
4th cycle was 61 days Od on CD35 and got my BFP.
... thats 4 cycles in 12 months....

To be honest the thing that I thought helped me was that i was so used to waiting to O and knowing that I had no chance that I almost got used to waiting and forgetting about it. That was difficult to some extent as i was either taking tablets of giving myself daily injections before and a few after O. Not easy to forget about!

Take up a new hobby perhaps, something crafty maybe... or find a good book, keep yourself busy as I know in my spare time I will generally be on the internet researching everything about TTCing... which I am now doing with pregnancy!

Good Luck.

hi Mini,

i am really sorry to known that you have such a long cycle.
i think you should go to your gp.

Do not take stress too much and just relax . spend time with your family and friends .

I am also in ttc for 2 months now but there is always a hope .
just forget about every thing. have party, go to the beach chill out

Hey Mini - I too know the feeling. I know everyone probably tells you this but you know what they say about anxiety and TTCing...

You really need to try to focus on something else all together. Try to let it become less important. I find that charting your cycles can make the whole ttcing experience vERY intense sometimes. xx

Thank you so much for your support. :) Even after writing that post yesterday, I felt so much better!

AnxiousEm - I really love the idea of a TTC Garden - I LOVE gardening and it will make the BFNs easier if I can find a plant to replace it! What is a speedball? It sounds fantastic!

Duchessa - I think I might take your advice and ditch the thermometer now I know I've ovulated - that really does add to anxiety.
