Any Mums out there who get to experience the joy (LOL) of carting a Kangaroo pump with them 24/7 - all I can say is "Error Flow" and u will know what I mean!!! Backpack pumps should be given out as standard!!!

It's a milk pump that feeds a child or baby through a nasal gastric tube or a tube directly into there stomach. There is a bag and tubing that has to hang above, It's kinda like drips in hospital but for milk.

My daughter won't tolerate bottles or anything into her stomach due to chronic reflux so we feed her continuously 24/7 through a milk pump. It's a nightmare thing. We are having to pay $1700 to get a pump thats portable that fits into a backpack. Otherwise just getting into the car is a major event!!! If it's on a slight angle in the stroller or whatever it beeps loudly and flashes (error flow), If u accidently run out of milk in the bag, you have to re-prime and run milk through the whole line - total nightmare!!!

Kiwi you'll be pleased to know our tube is still in and staying down, Ags hasn't pulled it out again since the other day at school with about 100 people bearing witness. Had to cart the damn machine in with me to hospital today, went for our genetics appointment, this is about the gist of it... mmmm, can't really tell you anything, will take some blood and get back to you in 12 months or so thanks for coming...Love their work.

How the hell do you get the tubes to stay clean for three days !?

You have to change them daily and wash them out with hot soapy water , then rinse with boiling water, I then store them in the fridge!! If they are really bad then run white vinegar thru them!!! The bags are $7.50 each to buy so u wanna make them last!!! Genetics people suck!!! It's a known fact!!

The machines also suck....can't wait for my backpack pump, The other pump is wearing me down slowly...too hard in and out of the car!!!

Big hugs anyway.let me know when u wanna come over........am free for the rest of the week???!!!

I got told not to use soap only hot water....no wonder. Mmmm vinegar, will have to give it a try, the fridge is a great idea will definetly be doing that over night so nothing grows in it lol.

Coming over next week, probably Wednesday or Thursday...how's your cousin?

We have the portable backpack pump now the 2100!!! It's much better and got a good deal through the hospital. $1600 all inclusive. Our parents all chipped in.Just waiting for PADP to get around to supplying the bottles!!! I was starting to go insane with the hospital loan 324!!! Wouldn't even go shopping anymore!!!

The other one sounds good too. There is a motility ball a guy in the US makes, it's brillant 4 continuous feed but way to expensive. Megan isn't mobile yet so its no too much of an issue!!!!

If u can believe it centrelink have just purchased one for a foster mum who has a child on continuous feeds!!!

We will be tube fed for a long while yet!!!!
