Hey kita!! Glad you finally joined!:p :hugs:

Did you try the Royal North shore hospital in St Leonards?? Thats where I had my elective c section and I didnt have too many problems at all getting one.

Really hope you find a hospital that lets you have one.:hugs: :fingerscrossed:

Can i ask you j_ordi04, do you do shared cared with a gp in port or an ob? or are you private with own ob?

if you dont mind me asking what Ob?

hi, i actually live just outside of taree and i did see my local gp to begin with but i see my ob every f/night now and everything is running smoothly so i haven't gone to my gp in a couple of months. My ob is dr walkom, he's great and is very nice, he's in taree and is a popular one.

Has anyone dealed with Dr Philip Walkom or Dr Birgit Strong who does c-sections at Taree. Just wondering what they were like as im hoping they will agree to give me a c-section as they wont do them in Port.

yeah i just had my ceaser last friday and and dr walkom was great. All the nurses commented on how great my scar was and it should heal really nicely. Im pretty sure you have to have a good reason for him to give you a ceaser, im sure sure on your circumstances but i'd go back to him again for sure, he's one of the popular ones in the manning anyway.

I live in Port Macquarie n the hospital here advised me that Dr Walkom is the only one who will do a ceaser without medical reason so im glad to hear he is good....!

I am near port. I had ds 1 & 2 in port. Ds1 was by emergency c-section and Ds2 was by booked c-section but came early. I was told when I had DS1 that Cause I had had 1 vbac that I could have another. They wouldn't do it electivly (sp??)

I thought Dr Wolkom did circumsions??? He did both my sons.

Where abouts in port are you? I am not far away.

i live near the main part of town well not far near the beach. I was told Walkom does all types of obstetrics and as jordi_4 said he did hers last week and was excellent so im fine with travelling 45min to go get my c-section there, yeh port wont do them unless you have had one b4
