i put hayley on her tummy from about 3 weeks old onwards... just give her a little bit of time i would just lay her on her belly after changing her nappy and lay down next her so she could see me and she was fine.... not all babies like it though so dont be afraid if she screams..

I agree with starting soon. G hated it, and i think alot of babies do, so if she doesnt like it, dont be too concerned.

We started with DD pretty early, she always liked it, mind you she was always pretty strong and was able to hold her neck up and look around.... Try it, bubs will let you know if she doesnt like it..

Yeah, that'll be good for your bub and strengthening her neck & back muscles.
Some babies complain and don't like it at first but don't worry too much. You can try putting your baby on her tummy and when she starts complaining, just put her back on her back or cuddle her. Sometimes a few seconds of tummy time a day is better than nothing.
My DD didn't like it at first but as weeks went by, the few seconds turned to minutes.
You can try rolling up a towel to put under her chest for support or even over your lap or chest while you're lying down. Also tummy time after a bath before dresssing her up is a good time. :D
Best of luck!

My antenatal class midwife told us to do it from birth for about 5 minutes a day.
I used to put my son on his tummy and give him a massage after his bath. I'd also let him sleep on his tummy for an afternoon nap on his day bed where I could keep an eye on him - never in the cot at night though!
You could also lay on the floor yourself and give her some tummy time on your tummy - my son loves that.
My maternal health nurse told us at the 2 week visit that we should aim for 2 - 3 minutes on his tummy 6 times a day. But, not to worry if he doesn't like it.

tummy time can even be done on you if bubs doesnt want to be alone on the floor just yet :) just lay on your back at whatever incline is comfortable and lay tummy to tummy with your bubba
The physio at the hospital told me to start straight away after birth....now i can't get the little bugger to settle on her back :P She loves it and i think would stay on her tummy all day if i let her!!!.....but i think if you have an active strong baby tummy time would be very beneficial :)

dd3's been getting it since we left hospital, she loves it most times, but if she cried i'd just leave her a few minutes:D ...she learnt to roll real quick, both ways too.
