Have to say that in the 13+yrs I have lived in Canberra, I have never been to the show.

That will probably change in a few years though when the kids are old enough to want to go. Reckon that I had better start saving now for that though!

I'm not in any hurry to take the kids. It's probably been more than 10 years since I've been and I don't miss it at all.

I figure if I don't take the kids, they'll never know what they're missing.

I think it's a wonderufl event to go to, even though i haven't been for years because it is an absolute rip off to take kids to any shows these days. So many $$$ just to get you through the door and that only buys you the pavement to walk on.... :( even the crappy showbags cost around $20.

so so true... we spent $70 in about two hours!!!!! and other then the few toys in my sons showbag. we have nothing to show for it now.

we did have a great time... and its all going to be on from now on each year as the boys get older and actually ask to go!

I was listening to the radio and they have a King of the Show competition (or something like that) anyways the prize is 4 tickets, 4 show bags, unlimited rides, food and drink for lunch and VIP parking - Cost value $580!

As much as my hubby wants to go I told him NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not if it's going to be so dam expensive for 4 people.
