My daughter yesterday pulled herself up in her cot during her daytime nap...and now will not settle she is screaming blue murder and is standing at her rail going loopy...I try to resettle her and put her down but she just pulls herself back up and starts screaming again...she always been pretty good...HELP!!
Tillie - Give your poor mum a break hun!
I've only got :hugs: :hugs: for you hun because as soon as Bug learnt to stand in her cot, she never wanted to go back in and would scream until she vomited. I ended up co-sleeping with her and wasted $850 on a cot that Bug only used for 5 months:crying:

That's what i meant, by knowning what to do with the next one!
You have to keep on with it, as tiring as it is... It's harder now, when they are nearly 2 and still won't sleep alone!!! :banghead:

Millie was the same....but she wouldn't sleep with us either. It was me (or DH) going in every few minutes, whenever she got to "warp factor 10" really and laying her down, saying nigh nigh time, patting her and giving her a kiss and leaving the room. It was a long and frustrating process but in the end she got there.

Garrett does the same thing, He will stand at the end closest to the door and scream the house down... We go in after a minute or so of crying, pick up setlle, and the put down, it goes on for ages! Eventually when he is wearing out we lay him in on his belly and rock his bu,m before he gets a chance to move - This usually settles him. Or a firm hnd resting on HIS Back (sorry its a fight for the keyboard with him at the moment!).... Its a long slow hard process but because we cant co- sleep (G thinks on our bed its time for exploration and not sleep - no matter the time of day or night or feed...) we had to find ways around it...
Cobey's just got this thing down pat as well. I pop him in and turn his mobile on, 90% of the time it works (I also have a string to toys tied to the side the he rolls over the plays with)
Hope it works out for ya!
