Anyone In Bowen ?????

Hi All,
My husband and I are looking at moving to Bowen for a while in March and was wondering if anyone lived in Bowen. Would be great to get some info and meet some people from the area.

Hey I dont live in Bowen, but my best friend and her husband do. We visited them last year and we thought it was a pretty (although quiet lol) place:)

You will probably run into them sooner or later - he is the Sargeant at the Bowen police station and shes a cop too. They are trying for their first bubba!:D

Actually, if you run into them (Renae and Scot) remind them to, ummm, give me a call! lol!

My DH is from Bowen and his folks still live there (all be it on the outskirts of town on a property). It is very quiet but if you love the beach then you will love Bowen!

In fact we are hoping to move up to Mackay (currently in Newcastle) in the new year just so we can be closer to his parents and mine (Townsville).

Oh and another tip... learn to drive at 50kms an hour cause that is the speed limit!!! :p

Hi Suzie,
We live about 30mins south of Bowen in the North Gregeory/ Dingo Beach area just outside of Prossy.
It is a nice quiet town, mum & I go up there every couple of weeks or so on our shopping day, not much to look at in Prossy and Cannonvale.
Yummy fresh seafood straight off the trawlers and the butcher shop up there is pretty good too.
