Hi
I just wanted to share, I went to a infant massage class on wednesday and the instructor suggested Bowen therapy.
So I made an appt, he fitted me in straight away.
Kezia seems so much better in all areas, she has less wind, burps come up straight away, reflux seems so much better, the vomitting doesn't seem as bad, we're using at least half the amount of clothing and bibs. Also it seems to helped with the constipation that she's had from the formula.
I would recommend it to anyone, don't know much about it, if anyone has any info regarding bowen I would appreciate it. We've been so desperate with the reflux we'd try anything !!!

hi mumofone
your post absolutely jumped out at me!
my DH and I have both had a couple of Bowen treatments two years ago (DH had a bad shoulder and I put my back out) It was great, really helped.
My sister is currently getting Bowen for her bad back, but I have never even thought about Bowen therapy for DS's silent reflux.
Wow... Im soooo excited at the thought of this that I rang my sister as soon as I read your post. She has an appointment on monday and is going to ask them about it for me.
I dont understand much about it either but I know that it has helped all of us and its so gentle that I cant see any harm in giving it a go.
Thankyou so much for sharing your experience.
Its opened my eyes to something that was right in front of me all along.
So :fingerscrossed: that it helps.

Hi
Things are going well. We can see improvement everyday. Which is cool, slept for 7 hours stretch last night so that is even better !!
Reflux doesn't seem to be a problem at all anymore, doesn't seem to have any pain. Not so spilly either.
We are impressed, I suggest anybody to give it a go !!

I have Bowen Therapy for my back and shoulder, and used it throughout my pregnancy last time.
She also did a coccix (sp?) realignment after the birth. She told me about Baby Bowen, and how it is being used in maternity hospitals, she trained the midwives in KEMH here in WA.
Will definately be taking this next baby there if it has reflux. I was lucky and DS didn't have it.
Glad to hear your little girl is better from it!

Hi
It seems to be a general touching of acu pressure points. Don't really know how it works but can say it has for us.
you can search on yellow pages for ones in your area or ask your health nurse, she may or may not reccomend some one most of them aren't allow too though.
Just ring around and find some one who will work with infants.
Good luck, we've been really impressed.
