Hi my DS is walking and needs size 2 shoes (summer), I have found one pair second hand but none in any shops all start size 3 or size 4. Does anyone know where I can buy some that are suitable for walking on hard ground etc and don't cost a fortune in his size? .

Oh Deb!!! I totally hear you!!!! I was in the same boat with Claire!!!

The only ones I found were in Pumpkin Patch. Yes, they were dear, but they were excellent quality & perfect for walking. But, if you have a look at the Kawana store (go quickly - they didn't have many left when I was in there the other day!) they are having a big sale & they are cheap as anything!

You could also try their website - they are having the same sale online, and the range is great, although they don't always have the sizes in the styles you might want, unfortunately.

Good luck!!!

Target and Kmart have some that have rubber soles, thick enough for walking but still really soft and flexible. I had some for DS in a size 2 and they lasted ages, when he outgrew then they still looked barely worn.

Payless shoes always seem to have a big variety.

I only found one pair in payless shoes when I was looking for my DS... he started walking in a one at 18 months and didnt grow into the sie 2 until he was 2 (he was TINY)

Pumpkin patch had the odd pair but that was it, for a while there when I couldnt find any I was buying a pair a WEEK of soft soled shoes as that was how long they lasted before he wore through them :S VERY frustrating and expensive but he needed some protection for his feet!!

Hopefully they have a bigger range in smaller sizes now :S

I'd call around first though rather than drive all over the country side looking!

goodluck

Wow, very tiny!! Matthew was a size 6 by 16mths....then again, he has flipper feet like his brother, lol.

I MAY have a pair of size 2 runners that do up with a zip if you're interested. Let me know as I'll have to do a bit of searching!!

Lol, I've spent the last 2 days trying to get size 4 shoes for my daughter with no much success, but both Big W & Kmart had heaps of Size 2 shoes up here in Townsville. We tried Payless but they were way to expensive for babies shoes.
