it used to be 3 tablespoons all up for the day in one meal or two, as they get older how much in quantity?
I would be interested to see what and how much other mummies feed thier bubbas?
DD nearly 8 months has
BReakfast- rice cerial and sometimes vegemite toast afterwards
morning tea- banana (if she is at day care)(no morning tea at home yet)
Lunch- what ever we have generally can of something meat and veg, or fruit.
Dinner-blended chicken and vegies.
I dont think I am giving her enough. Problem is since she was about 3 months old she has not cried for food. So I dont know if that is enough or not. Also would like to offer her more flavours. Snack foods etc.

Any body else? since my last post I have changed the menu.
breaky:1 weetbick (sp?) then bottle
morning tea: banana or arrowroot bicky or toast with vegemite, water
Lunch: vegie mush water and bottle
afternoon: bottle
dinner:vegie mush then fruit
bed and bottle
I think that is probably more acceptable than my last post. :p and she seems happier.

Hi,
DD just turned 7 months and this is her menu:
Breakfast - yoghurt and fruit puree
Lunch - vegetable and fruit puree
Dinner - vegetable puree
Thats it! I haven't started with meat yet, so might try some this week.
When did you start with toast? Does it matter if DD doesn't have any teeth?

When can you start giving breakfast first, then bottle?
Basically, you can start offering brekky solids before milk when they are eating about 1/2 cup of solids.
Having said that, my 10 mth old prefers to have his milk first thing in the morning (about 5-6am) when he wakes up, and then brekky (weetbix) is a bit later at about 7-8am.
I tried it the other way around a few times and he wasn't a fan! Wants his milk the minute he wakes up or else!! :)
But the rest of the day, we have solids before milk, milk usually follows lunch and dinner by about an hour.
