Curiosly it seems that alot of the top schools go for the REggio Emilia type of learning in their kindergartens. Why so ?
Does anyone know how this type of learning differs from the norm, and also how it differs from Montessori. If your child has been to a Montessori Kindergarten - did you think it was worth the money and time ?

My DD currently goes to a Montessori playgroup as she waits for a spot in "kindergarten". Yes I do think it is worth the money and time.

What do you think has been the best difference about Montessori as opposed to the norm ?

She hasn't been to a "normal" school, so I can't really answer that question. I just like their ideas towards how to educate children who don't conform easily.
