Congrats Hannah!!!!
I wonder how Paris went / or is going???
It is so exciting that it is our month at long last!!!
Well nothing to report here really, I had a really bad night sleep back was really sore then I was trying to get the doona back on the bed whilst I was under it, I moved my leg up to pull it over and felt this sharp pain in my lower abdomen then had about 3 hours of period like pain before I finally took some panadol... and feel asleep I was really worried at the time that I had done something bad. I didn't put anymore thought into it today but I have started to worry about it again.... I hope I didnt hurt him.
Hope everyone is well!!!
Sending labour vibes to everyone!!! I am getting a little nervous now!!!

Hi All,
Well, I finished work on the June July holidays (I am a teacher) and I went to Samford to house sit and work a home business for a month.

After that we came back, but it has been flat out, just to get a nursery together. It was finally finished today, although it looks a little sparce or "bland" as my husband puts it. We need some nails for hanging pics on the walls etc. I am also doing 2 oil paintings for babys room. I have done the prelim sketches, but havent started with the oils. I will do that tonight. It is a total experiment because I havent used oils before.

Braxtons are quite frequent now... although I swear I have been having them since the end of the first trimester. Worst pregnancy problem now is sore joints. Especially my hips and pubic symphisis joint. YOOOOOUUUCH. Also my ribs are sore, and get pins and needles even when I am sitting up. Stanidng and laying on my back (both of which are uncomfortable and bad for piles) are the only cure for that. SO sleeping is a real pest. And DH says I am snoring! (For once I believe it!)

I am so glad that the nursery is done. :smiliedance: DH is being supportive, and doesnt mind my resting so much and painting... I do get a little done around the house (meals, washing) but that is about it. :chef: He has been doing the rest, like cleaning out the nursery, and general tidying. Thank God he works from home. It has been lovely spending these last few weeks together. He does find it amusing that I cant get up off the floor on my own, and that I have stolen his pjs. :0)

I am so sorry to disappear without a trace in June. Ive missed the friendly banter on this group.

Not long to go now... Wouldnt mind coming early one bit. She is partially engaged, and I think she is getting lower every day... Oh, and whoever wants shares in the TP company... I think I will buy some too... I think I used 1/2 a roll today! And it was a good idea to bring ones own to the hospital. I will pack some now just in case.

Congratulations to all with new babies, and good luck for all the other wonderful mums for a quck and uneventful birth.:fingerscrossed:
:0)
Jade.

Yay Hannah and Laylah! Hopefully we'll have lots more announcements soon. It certainly sounds like things are heating up.

Hope your appointment went well, Adele, and that you didn't have to use any ice-cream buckets on the way there!

I went to my obs. appointment today and was right about one thing -- the baby's moved way down into my pelvis (which accounts for the nasty little shocks I keep getting in my hips and inner thighs). Apparently it doesn't mean much, just that 'he'll fit'. I wasn't really worried about that, though, as my first practically shot out of me like a bullet and this baby doesn't feel any bigger/heavier.

Well, off to eat chocolate pudding and ice-cream now. A girl has to have some kind of occupation...

Well girls I have read your thread and kept up to date with all the August mums but haven't done much posting here. This was the first thread I delved into when I joined Bubhub it seems along time ago.It is so very exciting reading about all the births. I feel like I know you all already.

Today is my turn (4/8/06), yes we are booked in at 6.30am this morning.
Our little Mason should be born within the next few hours and I should be recovering for the next few days. I am a little scared but know my prize will be a beautiful baby boy.:smiliedance:

It's a long story but little Mason is said to have a big head:eek: which means I would have trouble getting him out. If my last pregnancy was anyhting to go by. All I want is a healthybub so here I go....

Good luck to all with delivering their bubs this month. My three son's hopefully yours comes very very soon, I know exactly how you're feeling.

My Dh will let bubhub know the details as I'll be gone for a little while, but I am going to miss reading all the posts.

Write you soon,
Mel

Hello all....

My3Sons- Good luck for today- Cant wait to hear all the news and see picys:hugs:

Ok so my appointment went well.... but obviously I still havnt had her cause Im sitting here...... I got some news that Im pretty upset about though. We worked out why I was having so much pain yesterday right around into my back... Skyla has decided to turn POSTERIOR:eek: :gloomy: I slept on my left side ALL night last night- I wouldnt let myslef roll over but shes still in the same spot.

I really dont think I could cope giving birth without drugs if she was posterior the pain I had in my back yesterday was unbearable:crying: But Im really trying to remin positive and do everything I can to get her to turn....

So nope no bub for me... just a big pain in the back

Adele, bummer about skyla being posterior but from what I have heard they can turn even as late as when you go into labour so there is still hope!!!!
Well I had the best night sleep last night... 10 hrs didn't have to get up to go to the toilet and my back did not hurt at all.. what is with that not that I am complaining!!!! I woke up thinking ok baby now is your time to come out when I am refreshed!! But I highly doubt that is going to happen!!!
Have a great day all!!!

Adele Sorry to hear Skyla has moved position, but as someone else said earlier, it's still a VERY GOOD CHANCE that she will move around before or during labour:fingerscrossed: You just never know. It is disconcerting though, when you go in and get told anything that sounds negative. Try a wheat pack on your back. You can actually buy these fabulous pregnancy ones that have a strap that goes aorund your belly, so you can walk aorund with the heat pack on your back, they are brilliant. If all else fails, CHOCOLATE always works a treat:yes: :hugs:

Good morning all!!

Hope you all had a wonderful night of sleep. I kept having dreams that my waters had broken, and kept waking up to feel if the sheets were wet. At one point my back was a bit sweaty and I was so excited...but then I realised it was nothing fantastic

Adele my bubs is post. as well - it HURTS!! I've found that if I take a panadol if it gets REALLY bad it helps (I very rarely take pain killers, so I find that just one does the trick). My midi assured me it was safe to do. And heat packs/hot water bottles do wonders! I use one of them before the panadol. Another thing my midi suggested to help is make sure you sit with your knees lower than your hips. And try not to stress about it - that tenses the muscles in the tummy (what little ones we have left at this point) and makes it harder for bubs to turn around. I've just resigned myself to the fact that she most likely will turn during labour - :fingerscrossed: she knows what she is doing.

Best of luck to all those who deliver / labour today - you lucky girls you!

And to the rest of us who still have to waddle around - have a great day and early labour thoughts are with you all!

Hi All,

CONGRATULATION HANNAH AND HUBBY AND WELCOME LAYLAH JADE

Me- Had another trip to the hospital yesterday, had contractions from 3am on Thursday morning, got to 2min apart, headed to hospital about 9am yesterday and was hooked up to monitors and pains where registering at 3 - 4 in 10 mins. Then you guessed it................ they stopped. :banghead:

So was kept up the hospital all day thinking it would start again, but nothing, nudda, zip zero!!!!! Feeling very frustrated and bawling my eyes out, I took my bags and headed home again!

So today I feel very annoyed and frustrated and am waiting for bubs to make up its mind.

I know they come when they are ready but bloody hell this is ****!!!!! I feel like the girl who cried wolf!

Anyway have a good day ladies and I will talk to you all soon,
Hopefully third time lucky!

evening ladies :)

congratulations mrs potts :smiliedance:

well i don't know where the fellow insomniacs are ..... hellooo ..... anyone ....... ?

my day has been very productive! i got out of bed at 6:40am and since then have ....... made 2 nappies, washed clothes, cleaned my bathroom, vacuumed the living area (i even got out the attachments to do corners which i normally can't be bothered doing:o ), made brownies, made chocolate covered strawberries for a friend, had coffee with a friend, cleaned the kitchen, folded and put away all bubs clothes/blankets/muslins given to us at my baby shower .......... and now i'm pretty buggared but i feel good about what i've achieved.

still no labour signs for me. but not due for 17 more days so i'm not too worried yet.

wondering how all you other ladies are going ........ any contractions yet beany?

adele :fingerscrossed: that skyla does a big wiggle around for you. at least there are other mummies on here in the same situation so you can share good things to do to help her around

trece i had a little giggle about your dreams, mostly because i had the same kind of dreams the other night! ah, the wonders of the subconscious ...

well off to waste some time before i go to bed. i have my second baby shower tomorrow, which should be lots of fun again

perhaps my milk has come in early ...... i dread to think that will happen when it does come in ...

Hi All,

Sorry its been a while.

Firstly CONGRATULATIONS to all of you who have now had your little bubbas. Sorry....too many of you to mention all now and the number keeps growing by the day :hugs: to you all and your partners.

Sounds like everyone else is coming along and it wont be long for most of us now.

Me.....still a big fat nothing. Due in 3 days and i still haven't had a "show" no false labour, no period pain like feelings.....NOTHING!! Great....this baby is going to be inside me forever.

Oh well...i will just keep waiting and see what happens.

Well yes i am currently holding the fort for the insomniacs (i think beany is around also) because i was a little sillyearlier todaya nd slept on the couch for about 3 hours so am wide awake now. i woke up yesterday with a really bad head cold (talk about bad timing) so spent today covered in about 7 layers of clothing, 2 blankets and the heater on whilst drinking lemsips, tea with honey & lemon, taking panadol every 4 hours, vitamin c and sucking on soothers. DH was adoreable and was fussing over me but unfortunately there wasn't much he could honestly do for me.
Feeling much better than i did this morning, but still not 100%.

Anyway, again congrats to al of you who are now already mum's (i am secretly jealous as am starting to think this is not a baby inside, just a tumor trying to trick me) and best of wishes for those of you who will be having theirs in the next few days.

Take care all!

Beany
04-08-2006, 11:58 PM
Awww poor Kyles :( It's just plain sucky to be sick on top of of the preggy ailments! I hope your head cold goes away soon. Or you give birth. Either way, something ought to change and make you feel better!

Readytopush
05-08-2006, 12:01 AM
How is the coke out of your nose issue Beany? Hope you didn't make too much of a mess earlier

yeah sucky timing i know, but i have been lucky and been healthy all pregnancy so i guess it had to get me at some time.

So what are you still doing up and about at this time?

Readytopush
05-08-2006, 12:11 AM
Time for me to bid farewell. I am going to go and lie on the couch like a sack of spuds and watch a chick flick to wind down before bed. DH is on night shift the next 3 nights so you will no doubt find me lurking in the late (or early) hours the next few nights.

Until then.........:hugs:

Beany
05-08-2006, 12:15 AM
Oh the coke situation has resolved itself - to be honest, what with all the other leakage from various other orifices, this particularly one wasn't too bad. I'll take "tingly" rather than "owie" any day :p

Why am I up and about? Goodness alone knows. I'm knackered but sleep just eludes me. I've also found that staying up and moving around a bit hurts my pelvic ligaments less than lying down. Of course, staying up and moving around makes the sciatica worse. It's become a game of seeing how far I can tolerate one before switching to the other.

Readytopush
05-08-2006, 12:53 AM
Yes.....i am back. Went and put the TV on, saw two bafoons from Big Brother hosting a quiz show, had some vegimite on toast and gave up so here i am again.

Beany you crack me up. The whole balancing act is quite a job for us. I quite often wake up after about 3 or so hours of sleep and take a walk around the house a few times for about 15 minutes just to give my body a break (i also quite often squeeze a trip to the fridge or cupboard in there but lets not tell DH that one). He will fnd me one day at 4am in the cupboard spooning peanut butter into my mouth.

Well i am off again.....lets hope this time for some sleep.

Ciao!

I am feeding Elise at the moment and trying to type one handed - getting quite good at it too!
Wow, I am sooo looking forward to hearing everyone's birth stories! I have made a star on mine, but there are so many patches of blankness throughou the whole thing, I am going to have to wait until my doula Tracie fills me in on he details .. DH was there too but I think he is still a bit shell shocked by the whole thing! Speaking of tracie and DH, I am soo lucky to have had them with me for the birth of little Elise, they were great, everything and more than anyone could ever expect, and Tracie might well have saved me from a C-section so I am am sooo gratefull:yes:
Oooh did I mention that I had no tears or stitches!!!:smiliedance: Yippeee!!! So relieved about that! I did however, manage to get a bruised coxynx from her being posterior and the suction cap - I couldnt sit down for 2 days!!
I feel so lucky to have such a beautifull bub, If I had of known that motherhood felt this good - I would have done it years ago!!

Raffee: heee! Yes the cot is up and functional. Had my OB appointment on Thursday afternoon, where he looked at me at my tummy, got me to hope onto the bed and said "I bet you're having a different experience weeing now". Head is fully engaged and he agreed that it did indeed sound like the plug had come away. He told me it was safe to think the baby would be here sooner rather than later.

We came home, got some dinner and put the cot together. Spent the night staring at it, thinking "there will soon be a baby not sleeping in there!"

:Me - Well just waiting....waiting....waiting..... Is there anyone else that just wants to run away from both sides of familly....I mean everyone is just caring for us BUT IT IS TOOOOO MUCH....my mum basically tells me she is going to the loo just in case I go into labour at that particular time and I love my mum to bits and hate feeling like this :banghead: Then I am just picturing when I am at the hospital and bring bub home we are going to have so many people around..AHHH I AM GOING TO RUN AWAY..well that is my whinge for the day hee hee
Oh by the way Raffee I let my DH have a "poke" last night and still nothing....so hope it works better for you

Talk again soon

 You're hilarious! Well, apparently (warning TMI) it works far better if it is ingested orally:barf: ... ANYWAY....

Yes I know what you mean about people caring too much- I have not only both sides of the family but my children's school community constantly :shame: when they see me turn up to pick the kids up from school- like I have a say as to when this bub arrives!!!! I WISH I did!!!!!

Hope things happen for you soon hun. Lots of labour vibes your way.

Great to have you back LP, we're all busting to hear your story. Sounds like it went well. Isn't it amazing that after you spend all that time thinking of all the possible things that could happen, labour is completely different to you could ever imagine!

Just apent a couple of hours waddling around the shopping centres. I need to have a huge whinge about the serious lack of toilets. For goodness sakes, I had to keep dropping everything I was doing and waddle right up one end of the shopping centre and down 3 floors to get to the toilet. I must have had the biggest grimace on my face! ha. After I'd been I, of course, had completely forgotten what I was doing so wandered around aimlessly until I remembered. Oh dear.

I must remember to check out where the feeding rooms are at this particular shopping centre, I only ever went to different shops with ds. Just a tip - the ones at David Jones are usually the nicest.

Hey guys,

Congratulations to all those that have had their bubbys and welcome back to Lilbugalugs and Shed...sounds like your little ones are just perfect!!

Still nothing happening for me...I had some regular braxton hicks contractions a few nights ago but they did not progress so, still waiting:D Not really looking forward to labour again...but I cannot wait to meet our little bubba!! I need to know that he is alright, what he looks like and if he is in fact a boy.

I ran into an old neighbour the other day and she was telling me that her first labour was 8 hours (about what mine was), but her second the labour from beginning to end was 50mins:eek: The head was out before they made it to hospi!! Hhhhmmm hopefully nothing like that will happen here!!

It seems so surreal coming up to due dates etc don't you think??? My hubby and I just look at each other and say "We are really going to have another baby !".

DD is still coping really well and seems very settled at the moment. I have a friend that had a baby about 3 weeks ago, DD shows very little interest in the baby and is not entirely happy for me to have a cuddle with the baby. She is also very perplexed by the whole breastfeeding thing..she says to my friend "What you doing?" and seems quite concerned...I guess that she has never seen someone breastfeed and due to some major complications she was only breastfed until she was 5 weeks old. We will just have to see how she goes. She will always be my baby and it actually makes me teary to think that she could be upset to see me in the hospi with a new baby and I really hope that she does not cry when she leaves, I don't know whether I could handle that!!

Oh well time will tell I guess....back to patiently waiting for D day.

Cheers

Morning....oh i mean afternoon all. DH came home from night shift at 8:30 tyhis morning so i decided to sleep in some extra with him. Me the lazy has only just woken up.

Welcome back LP. Can't wait to hear your eventful birth story and especially see a pic of gorgeous Elise.

:laughing:Well, apparently (warning TMI) it works far better if it is ingested orally:barf: ... ANYWAY....

Oh Raffee, i couldn't stop laughing after reading that one!! DH is still sleeping, but guess who will be pouncing in him as soon as he wakes up

Anyway, just thought i would drop by and check out what had been happening since i went to sleep last night.

I'll be back later tonight, so see those of you around then.

BTW....it is rather quiet around here. Either everyone else has a life (what is that again??) or there all having babies.

DP said to me while we were out shopping- Hmmm maybe you should be wearing your nappies(maternity pads) incase your waters break while were out:eek: I was shocked that he even thought of it LMAO

Ok well Im off to have lunch and bring in the towels before they get soaked..... DP is cooking sausages with his special onion gravy and eggs for lunch- sounds like an odd combination but its really yummy!!! Mmmmmmmmm fooooooooood.....................*wafts towards kitchen*

Hi girls

Congrats to MRS POTTS & MELBRYAN!!!

Also to my3sons who will be holding her little one by now

Rach - welcome back, welcome to little Elise and congratulations, can't wait to read your birth story.

I'm still here, and .......intact. Couldn't get on to Bubhub yesterday, it wouldn't let me log on or open threads no matter what I tried, but seems ok this afternoon.

No signs of labour apart from the usual aches and pains. I will be induced on Wednesday morning if she hasn't made an appearance by then - trust my baby to be fashionably late to her own birth

Have a good one everyone, I'll jump on again later :)

Tash: oh you slack and lazy thing! You only did all that today?! Shame on you! So far I have sat at the computer browsing forums, watched TV, went out and did a little light shopping and eaten shortbread biscuits ... :D

Noosamum: after your no-show last night, I was sure you were on some hospital bed somewhere pushing out the baby and possibly a little poo :p

Hello chicky babes.

LP, Elise looks gorgeous. It sounds like your labour was a success, having a doula is obviously a powerful presence in the birthing room. I know mine wouldn't have been such a great experience if my lovely doula wasn't there.

I look back on the birth now and there are so many things that make me LAUGH would you believe? At one point when I was saying I couldn't do this and said "I want an epidural" my doula goes "do you darling? ok, and how about a caesar?" and I remember nodding, ha ha ha ha, god that cracks me up now.

When Baden came out his head was very cone shaped due to the moulding in the birth canal and I remember saying to DP "oh god, we've got a cone head, he's a cone head look!" ha ha ha ha. (His head is perfectly round now, it took about 12 hours).

I was SUCH a wuss during labour. I cried a couple of times, I whinged and needed a lot of sympathy and attention and reassurance. If I didn't have a plan I would have had a very different experience. I even demanded DP give me a proper wedding date, ha ha. (January!).

If I ever have another baby I will definitely have a plan again and will make sure my support people know it. The more detailed the better and then be openminded AFTER that.

DP was the one who reminded me that I wanted to go on all fours to give birth. If I hadn't have told him then I would have forgotten. They KNEW I didn't want an epidural under any circumstances and when I asked for one they knew I just needed reassurance and love.

Those ladies who are still pregnant: tell your support people what you want BEFORE you go into labour, be specific and then they will help you when the time comes because you won't be in any state to make decisions when you are in so much pain. Make the decisions beforehand. If you go to the hospital without a plan they will take over and do THEIR plan on you, which means being PROCESSED.

Hi Shed, I totally agree, a doula is an amazingly powerfull presence in the birthing suite, I felt a lot safer knowing that I had such great support around me.
Even though I did have a birth plan to start with, that didnt really take into account the fact that I was induced with membrane rupture and syntocinin, so basically what happened was that from about 30 mins after the drip was turned on, I started getting contractions around two and a half minutes apart and lasting around a minute. I was ok to start with and concentrated on breathing etc and then went into the shower as it is supposed to be relaxing, but I was totally freaked out and claustropobic in the shower for some reason so ended up back on the floor which is the place that I felt the safest. I tried the gas and air which didnt take the pain away but did help me to focus on my breathing.
Unfortunately my body had tensed up and so I wasnt dilating, then suddenly the pain stepped up big time and all of a sudden I couldnt keep my head above the contractions. It turns out that bub decided to turn posterior at this point which is why it suddenly got so much more painfull. I ended up having an epidural so that the syntocinin could be turned up and so that my body could relax and open up. I was kind of closed up like a clam! The epi took about 1/2 an hour to take effect and for a while things were ok but then Bubs heart rate suddenly started dropping and the middie hit the emergency switch and people were coming into the room from everywhere. The syntocinin was switched off and I was told the obby had been called and I might need a c-section. Fortunately My doula was there and kept asking them to check my cervix again and eventually when obby turned up and checked, I was almost fully dilated. A few mins later I was fully dilated but we couldnt find bubs heart rate, so I had to push and push and push, with the obby unsticking bub from the U-bend with a ventrouse. Anyway, I managed to push bub out within 3 contractions and didnt tear or need stitches either. Bub was rushed off to resussetation and had her airways cleared out and oxygen given. Her apgar was 6 and then 8. It was so scary waiting to hear that first cry though:gloomy: It was the most beautifull sound in the world when I eventually did hear it.

Wow, well I almost wrote world and peace there and thats not half of it.. thats just the bits I remember!! :ecomcity: I will write the full story in the August mums thread when I piece it all together..

Oh.. the funniest thing I think was when I was in the middle of a contraction and the middie said to me "you are a beautiful birthing goddess" and I replied with ""F' the beautifull birthing goddess, I want to go home!

I have to say that even though my birth experience wasnt anything like I had planned, I am immensely proud of it as it was my birth experience, mine and Elise's. All I can say is, as long as you are fully informed of what is going on and what your options are, then you feel more as though you were in control if that makes sense. My advice would be to make sure that you have great support people around you, and go into it with an open mind and confidence in your own body. And the moment you are holding your beautiful bub in your arms, you realise that you would have gone through anything to hold this precious peron in your arms! ... gaawd, I have gotten a bit carried away here havent I!

Shed - congrats on getting a wedding date!!! yaay! Sounds like you had a wonderfull birth! I know what you mean about being a wuss though, I cried and said I had changed my mind and wanted to go home!! Midwife wouldnt let me though!!

LP Elise os BEAUTIFUL - and sooo much hair! My DD1 is 18 months and still practically bald! You did a fantastic job!!

Noosamum Hope things start happening for you soon hun! You are so much more patient than me!

Adele How are the pains today? You are such a champ for putting up with all of this. Has Skyla turned yet?

I'm just waiting waiting... We went for a little outing today and on the way home int he car my BIL was being funny, I laughed and a little liquid escaped...what the? I've NEVER had a problem with incontenence (sp?) so could it have been my waters starting to leak? I got home and and no smell? Whats happening? With DD1 my waters broke all at once. I've had mild cramping since, nothing regular or too painful. Any ideas? I hope it wasn't my waters...was plaining to "pounce" on Dh tonight to move things along (as readyto push said!

Ahh well, off to have dinner and waddle to bed before the inlaws come over for the footy.

Evening all, just a quick drop by.....for now.

Just had to say...Beany with some of your comments of late.........you are on fire girl!!! i can't possibly manage to read one of your posts at the moment with out laughing!! Nice going!!

Happily pounced on DH the second he woke up (i think he thought he was still in dream land) but nothing as yet. Didn't take Raffee's advice of oral......thought i might save that for when i am desperate as my taste buds are a little too sensetive at the moment.

Went to the in laws cause my mil has a huge stock of evening primrose oil tablets thati keep hearing people talking about. I hear they can be quiet effective so i thought i didn't want to buy a whole bottle and only need a few, so stole some of hers. I just had my second with my dinner so lets see if that doesn't get things moving. I had my first with my lunch and my stomach i must say has been feeling a little different since (or maybe that could have been the 2 glasses of white i had??)

Anyway, will no doubt touch base again later on!

LP - Elise is just divine! And thanks for a little bit of your birth story,....could have really gone a bit pearshaped there,....thank goodness it all went ok in the end,.

I have just eaten an entire pineapple,... I read that it was supposed to induce labour,..so I went for it,.....! Now I am going to do a bit more research online to see whether it was worth it! Ha! Something tells me I should have done that in the first place!

Readytopush
05-08-2006, 07:29 PM
Hey Jane&Scarlet,

I too had heard about the pineapple. I have been munching on a bit here and there, but wow......a whole one...you go!!!

What i have read is more because of the fibre, it induces you in the sense of needing to relieve your bowels. At this stage in pregnancy, with such presure being put on to clear your bowels, it starts to make the uterus contract, hence bringing on labour. Not sure of how reliable that is though......but i have been drinking pineapple juice today, rasberry leaf tea & taken 2 evening primrose oil tablets so hoping for at least something to happen.

I guess if we don't see you around tomorrow, you will find all of us at the grocers buying up pineapples in bulk

Shed- You're advice is simply fantastic, very insightful. I am having a doula this time around and am filled with even more confidence after hearing your story. Oh and if I havent mentioned it yet, your Baden is an absolute darling!

Jane&scarlett- Hope the pineapple works! What a pleasant labour inducer though... far prefer it to some of the others. I think I might give it a try myself should tonight's endevours fail!

Readytopush- sorry I was assuming you meant- oh never mind!!!:D Hope things start happening for you real soon- like in the next couple of hours!!!

the baby shower was great ...... got mattress protectors, clothes, lotions and potions, insulated bottle bag, toys, wipes, towel set .... but the best bit about it was that it was mostly close friends and we had a huge chat about childbirth, pregnancy experiences, baby brain ..... but a good d and m not just having a laugh about stuff. it felt really .... i dunno, there was a definate vibe of "we're all in it together" and learning from each others experiences .... it was really good.

Jane - Accupuncture is really good for inducing labour apparently - it didnt work for me but then I left it a bit late and only had time for one session and apparently it can sometimes take 2 sessions. My cervix was very thin though so maybe that was helped along by the accupuncture... either way it felt wonderfull! Evening primrose oil is also quite helpfull apparently... I dunno.... I tried everything and nothing worked for me ... I didnt try the castor oil though!

I am getting to be an expert one handed typist! I find that the best time to go online is when I am feeding Elise. I am sooo tired now, I am sure I have only slept for about 4 hours out of the last 48 ....

I just remembered something else funny at the birth.

when I got the needle to deliver the placenta I remember saying to the midwife "ooooh is this going to hurt? I don't like needles!" and she goes "are you serious? you have just given birth and you are asking if THIS will hurt?"

It did hurt though, that needle.

 That's classic, shed!

I might attempt an early night (which sounds utterly insane considering it's nearly 1am but this is the earliest I've even contemplated going to bed in a fair while). Been getting back pains and feeling just weird all day. Also been hit with bouts of nausea and indigestion. And diarrhea. Perhaps it's worn me out enough to sleep for a few hours.

I'm trying really really hard not to jinx it by saying it might be pre-labour symptoms ...

I have sat up watching movies tonight to pass the time as insomnia sets in. Just watched Skeleton Key and then Beauty Shop and thought i would check in to see if anyone else is crazy enough to still be awake. Well...only 4 people in total on the entire site (thats including me) so i think that is a fair enough sign that i myself should go to sleep.

Beany, I'm so excited for you- it definitely sounds like labour is imminent! Hope you had a restful night in preparation for it...

 Shed, you're a classic! Glad Baden is making his presence known:D - love his nick! Oh and I forgot to ask- did you try anything at all to bring on labour? Can you take us through your movements for the last 48 hours leading up to labour?:detective:

Ready2push, had a look at your website- what sweet pics of your family- I'm sure you're gonna have a very beautiful baby!

Hi wattle! Hope you managed some sleep after your tea and toast. I too was tempted to get online in the wee small hours but forced myself to return to bed, knowing full well the kids would have me up at 6am. The joys of motherhood...

lilpickle, doesn't acupuncture hurt? I don't know why but I've always imagined it to be a really painful process.

Mama anne, sorry didn't reply but I ended up having an early night. Glad you enjoyed your baby shower!

Update on me: Got busy with hubby, but with zero results thus far, apart from a couple of extra muscular aches and pains! Although I have to say that I can definitely feel that bub is waaaay down there now, like to the point that I can't wee more than a few drops at a time. And the pressure is really strong... so hopefully its a good sign. Will be off to the shops in search of a fresh pineapple today! See you all later.

Hi all,

LP - Elise is just beautiful, your labour sounds like it got a bit crazy there towards the end, thankfully everything turned out, and Elise is happy and healthy.

Shed - Baden is gorgeous to, you labour sounded like a very positive experience, good on you for sticking to your birth plan!!!

Me - My waters broke at 7am this morning, well actually they are still breaking...............YUUUUUUUKKKKKK! Went up to the hospital to get bubs and me checked out because I have had no pains yet and everything is fine, Im just a little deflated and if nothing happens between now and 9pm tonight I have to go to hospital to be addmitted for antibiotics and then if nothing has happened by 1am tomorrow morning I have to be induced. So heres hoping for a baby sometime in the next 24 hours.

Keep you all posted and tell you all about it soon!
LOL and labour vibes to you all

PS. I think I just got my first pain............ maybe just wind! hehehehe

Lou81- I'm sure you'll be holding your bub in no time at all. Wishing you an easy and memorable labour!!!!

Tashmusa- Even if its not labour yet, it definitely is pre-labour, so you're body is getting ready for the big event.:fingerscrossed: and labour vibes your way!

Well, nothing at all here. Not a contraction, not a noticeable braxton hicks, not a leak nothing!:banghead: I think the more I want it to happen, the less my body cooperates. I think if anything I will be competing for the title of August's last bubhub baby. Oh well....

Woohoo! It's all really happening here now! Yay for Elise and LP and what a pretty name (not to mention pretty good looking baby!).

OMG Louise, I can't believe you're sitting there typing away happily. Everyone seems to be in such a different headspace to me. Because of how quickly my first bub arrived, anything at all happening means a mad dash to the hospital for me. We have all these weird contingency plans to get my parents to look after my 2.5 year old/what to do if my husband's at work/working nights at his hospital/what to do if I'm at the shops/gym etc.. After planning this, we could plan a shuttle launch no worries!

Off to get the baby capsule fitted tomorrow, which I know will be a big, big reminder for me that it's almost time now.

Oooooooh Lou81, it sounds like things are moving and shaking. Hope you're feeling nice and relaxed. It gets rather messy when your waters break doesn't it. Bring on the towels.....ewwww.

Hey Alli - I've been busy thinking of contingency plans too - ds is 18 months and HATES any change in his schedule. If he has to go to his grandparents at 3am he's not going to be happy. Oh well, what can you do. He'll certainly have plenty of adjusting to do when bub comes home.

Can someone take this silly nesting thing away from me pleeeeeease. Last weekend I was out with the whipper snipper, today I've been painting outdoor furniture and cooking. I just can't seem to sit still for more than 2 minutes.

Firstly A big congratulations LittlePickle, Mrsbutterflygirl, Mrspotts and Melbryan and all of your families…I’m a few days behind so will have to do the group congrats! I hope that you’re all resting/recovering well, and enjoying time with your new bundles of joy…and fingers crossed for Lou81 and Tashmusa…starting to sound promising!

Tashmusa – the mum thing touches a nerve…my mum is driving me NUTS!!!! She rang the other day to ask if I’d packed my back (which I’d replied that I’d chucked a couple of things in, but only because I was going through the drawers where I’d been storing stuff as I’d brought it looking for the number of the photographer), and she told me I better get a move on because she had!!!! (just in case she’s required to spend a night up here…not if I can help it at the moment!!!!) She also harassed me into getting credit for a mobile that I don’t use (I hate mobile phones, and have absolutely held out on getting one, so much so that the one that SHE gave me that she got for switching phone companies, with $10 credit on, they took $6 of that back because I didn’t manage to use it in 4 months!!!!!)…I know that it’s sensible, but I have access to Dh’s when need be, so just being told to do something is driving me insane!!! I keep telling DH he’s not to ring either of our parents until the squid actually arrives, but also know that that won’t go down too well either!

Me – well actually starting to feel pregnant now!! Had a bit of an uncomfortable afternoon (after my poor DH got lucky…and I’m not even in there to bring labour on!!!…I kept joking that maybe we should wait a few days…don’t want to rush things so that his leave has to include the public holiday next week!!!) and started to wonder if things were happening, but nada….not that I’m wishing it too soon anyway. Was emailing a friend in England, and realised that as of tomorrow I can count days off on my fingers to the enviable d day...not that that means anything I know. Has been good to read your stories Shed and LP…no matter what happens in the process, it’s reassuring to know that we’ll all survive!!! Spent this morning wandering around town, so am a bit stuffed now, but got to have Gelatisimo (WHY DID THEY TAKE THE ONE AWAY FROM CHERMSIDE!) so it was all worth it!!

[QUOTE=wattle]Oooooooh Lou81, it sounds like things are moving and shaking. Hope you're feeling nice and relaxed. It gets rather messy when your waters break doesn't it. Bring on the towels.....ewwww.

Wattle - Yes.... OMG! I have used almost a complete packet of maternity pads just today for my water breaking, TMI! It is revolting, everytime I stand up I feel like I am wetting myself, I have had 3 showers and it is still leaking out of me,......sorry TMI again!

I am soooooo bored and annoyed right now! I just got up from a lovely 2 1/2 hour nanna nap with my DD,aaaaahhhhhh bliss! When I came upstairs to watch telly and get something to eat, DP (not so darling), followed me up and stole the remnote and put some stupid british war movie on, boring!!! and then when I got up to go to the toilet again he stole my recliner chair. I dont know what it is with him today, he has been such a ****, you would think that what I am about to go through in the next 24 hours he would be lovely and caring and help me out and let me play couch commando!

Anyhoo, so I thought I would come and sit on the computer and post again and try and pass the time. Only having slight pains, say every 5 minutes, so nothing major yet! Just waiting, waiting, waiting!

anyway might have a look at someother threads
hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday

Chicks, don't forget to post in the details thread when you have your babies.

Baden went out into the world today. We went and bought my sun lounger that I wanted for my birthday, and we went looking for a photo printer but didn't find one.

He is such a good baby. I think my calm pregnancy and labour have made him a placid little bloke. He is just beautiful and so cute.

I realised today that he has hardly any clothes, yes I know he actually has heaps, but they are mostly too big. So we are going shopping tomorrow for some more little fleece suits and a nappy bag for me.

Raffee: in the lead up to birth I did nothing special, we went and picked up the stroller and then went out for lunch. That's about it. My original due date was 1st August, if you look back in this thread you will see, so I think Baden knew when he was coming the whole time. Actually I always said that I thought the first EDD of 1st August was right, and I was just waiting for August to start and then I knew it would be any day. (31st July, sucked in mummy, ha ha).

I still heartily believe in the power of the raspberry leaf tablets. I took six a day for weeks and every contraction I had did something, none were wasted.

Thinking of you all. It will be a week tomorrow since I gave birth and it has literally FLOWN. I can't believe it.

Happy Sunday all.......

Well....i think i better get off to the shops now and buy myself a whole pineapple...or maybe two? Seeing as i can't see jane&scarlet anywhere today i am guess maybe things are coming along nicely

Tashmusa, that is great news you are now getting some contractions even if still no other signs....at least something is happening

Shed....i can't beleive it has been a week already since Bayden was born. Boy how time really does fly

Lou81....omg you are so close now. I am really starting to get very jealous of you all who things are happening for. Sorry to hear that dp is driving you a little insane. It is funny how when we need their consideration the most is when it goes completely out the window. Men!!!

Hey Raffee....looks like you and me sitting here getting frustrated again about nothing going on :banghead: Thanks for checking out bubbas website. I am hoping my DH's sexy look definitely rubs off on our bubby. Can't wait to see what skin colour she comes out with.

Well for me after going to bed at about 2:30 this morning, i could barely sleep as due to my recent head cold (i am pretty much fine now) both my ears were realy blocked and killing me. Plus, for some strange reason i was dead set that i would go into labour overnight so my mind was racing. I would have loved to have given birth today as it is 2 1/2 years exactly since DH & I got married  , thought the date would be nice. Never mind.

Well again i slept half the day away with DH after he came home from night shift so no doubt see you all soon....

Hi girls! thanks for all the congrats.. it's just a quick note tonight as i'm on a dinner date away from the hospital (they let me out for a few hours to have dinner with hubby and they look after bubs).

I am coming home tomorrow and will post all the details about the birth - no induction and a quick labour. Laylah and I are doing wonderfully and cant wait to get home.. I must say i have only been away from her for just over an hour now and i miss her to bits.

Hope everyone is well.

Hi Hannah :) Hope you had a great dinner date. Laylah is gorgeous, as if you didn't know already!

Seems like everyone is up to something laboury tonight - shows, contractions and waters breaking everywhere! Well, not *everywhere*. That might be a tad icky.

As for me ... still in with-sprog limbo-land. The back pains are still there accompanying the contractions which are still a-happening. But nothing is progressing any further. Part of me is glad of this - the in-laws are all off to Queensland for a couple of days on Tuesday so I'm hoping that that will be the day. Keep them out of my hair for at least a day or two.

Oh well, shall take a couple of panadols and attempt this "bed" and "sleep" thing soon. Hope you all are keeping and sleeping well, especially those of you with your babies out and needing night feeds. To the rest of you (us) positive labour vibes heading your way!

PS: where's Adele? Has she gone off to have Skyla without telling us?

Hannah, Laylah is gorgeous!!!!!
Well I am so jealous of everyone off having their babies!! I can't wait to meet my little guy!!
Shed, I have been far from calm my whole pregnancy so I guess I will have to try to make up for it during labour otherwise my little man will probably be a terror!!!
LP, I am so glad that the birth of Elisa ended well!! I could only imagine how scary it would have been toward the end!
Me, Absolutly nothing!!! Have been awake since 4am can't sleep way to much on my mind... Think I am going to go and get my hair cut today.. maybe or I might just have another one of those really lazy days where I watch day time TV all day... grr A few days ago I was at least getting period like pains which had me excited that I may go early but I am not getting those anymore so I think I have a long while to go yet.. oh well I will just have to be appreciative of this wonderful baby I have growing inside me and enjoy him moving around etc cause I am sure that I will miss it once he is out!!!
Have a great day all!!!! And goodluck to everyone who is labouring today I hope it is quick and memorable!!!:D

Morning girls. This is my morning  to you all.

Hopefully everyone rested well last night. I think I'd better seriously start packing today, I've only thrown a few things in the suitcase so far. Although going to the birthing centre :fingerscrossed: will mean that I only stay overnight, so I don't want to take enough for a 6 week stay. But better too much stuff than not enough.

Ds's behaviour was wildy out of control yesterday, so I'm hoping he's exhausted and will be nice and calm for me today.......haha, as if.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning girls, can't stay long, I'm far too busy scoffing down whole pineapples, eating bottles of rasberry leaf tablets, drinking marjoram tea and doing the wild thing with DH (well not so much that last one actually ) and if one more person that I bump into or just one more person rings to say "haven't you had the baby yet?" no jury will convict me for what I may do - as long as it's a female jury who have all had overdue babies!!

:banghead:

No signs of labour, nothing. Maybe I'm not really pregnant, could be a giant tumour or something.
*sigh*

Be back later with some personals,

Hello everyone.....

Well I hope you all had a great weekend....

Lou & Tash- I hope everything is going well!!! Good luck cant wait to hear all the news....

Beany- Nope Im still here(unfortunatly- No offence lol)

Hannah- OMG your little girl is just beautiful

I have been spending alot of times on my hands and kness wagging my butt in the air trying to tip Skyla out of my pelvis so she will turn around.. but nothing yet:banghead: Shes a stuborn little thing- just like her mummy:rolleyes:

Im SO over this now- I just want to go into proper labour and have Skyla.. but at the same time I dont want to cause she really needs to turn around first.

DP has been so good over the weekend- reading all the Birth Centre booklets about turning Pos babies and ways to get them to move etc.. then reminding me on ways to sit and making sugestions on positions... he has really helped alot- Im quite suprised hes taken such a HUGE interest.

We FINALY sanded back the rocking chair yesterday and tomorow Im going to paint it- wooohooo that means I can FINALY finish the nursery!!! Cant wait!! '

Ok well Im sending you all lots of labour vibes hope everyone has a brilliant day- stay calm and well rested gals!!

Congratulations Lou and Mr Lou

Welcome Cooper to the world, you were such a good boy coming so quickly for Mummy!!

Noosamum - I am feeling for you, hope something happens soon...

Mrsbutterflygirl - Laylah is gorgeous, well done to you and your hubby.

Shed - You said that you had to go out and buy smaller clothes for Baden, what size is he wearing now and what size was he born ( sorry I know I could look back but thought it would be easier to ask ). I only have a couple of things in 0000 at the moment.

Hope that everyone set to go is getting some strong labour signs today. I am trying to keep my legs together as my gorgeous husband is in Adelaide for work and does not get back until tomorrow. I think I would be very unlucky as I have had no signs of labour yet. About to go to the OB and I still think baby has not engaged, but will soon find out.... Be back later for some couch time with Dr Phil and Oprah.. haha

Hi Chickadees,
It's so cool t log-on and see all the goings-on and find another baby has been born in our August thread:D

Rach and MrsButterflygirl Your babies are GORGEOUS! It's such a miracle isn't it, to think that those little people were the cause of all our chatter over the last 9 months or so, and then there they are in the avartars! Just brilliant.

Tashmusa Hope you're going ok sweet, it seems as though you may be next:hugs:

Wattle I know what you mean about the nesting thing. I pretty much did similar things to you on the weekend, can't seem to stop lately. Mind you, there is NOTHING on the tv at the moment is there. Wehave Foxtel Platinum and it just seems to be repeats after repeats.

Beany and NoosaMum Again, I am sending labour vibes your way:fingerscrossed:

Me Well, I had some spotting of bright re bloodl ast night when I went to the toilet and wiped etc. (SORRY FOR TMI), so I rang the Hospital and they said it sounded like a bit of a show (though I had no plug, mucus etc) and to put a pad on and monitor it for an hour. An hour later and nothing really, just a smidgy of blood. I really hope this baby doesn't decide to put me in labour before the 10th c-section, as then I have to rush up to the Hospital for an emergency c-section because of the breech position. So today, I am taking it easy and doing verything opposite to you pineapple-eating, raspberry tea-drinking Mummies to be, LOL!

DH fitted the baby capsule yesterday and it looked so funny to see one in the car. He had classical music going through the speakers of the baby capsule and it all suddenly seemed real that pretty soon a 'baby' will be lying in that capsule listening to that music. I can't wait to meet the baby, but more out of an anxiety-type desire, as I want to KNOW and SEE that the baby is HEALTHY in every way.

obviously im not shed...lol but my bub was born 6lb 5ounces (2870 grams) and 49cm long and i only had 0000 clothes at home, so i had to go out and get a couple of 00000 winter suits. i only got four as i knew he would grow quickly. when he wasn't wearing on of the 00000 suits i had him in 0000 bonds wondersuits as these weren't overly big on him. he fitted in his 00000 suits till he was 6 weeks old and became too long for them.

now to the reason i am posting!
Neneale is now going in for her c/s this morning. so mini-neneale (aleesha) will be here later today.

Here is a link to my birth story.

Birth Story (http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/showthread.php?p=546458#post546458)

Bub and I are home now and both doing really well.. she loves her sleep so it gives me alot of good rest time. (And time on here) I had a very short labour (only 3 hours) which made my birth experience pretty good.

Anyway I have to go feed bubs she has just woken up! I hope everyone else is feeling good and praying you go into labour soon!

Well its official life couldnt get a whole lot worse....

I was sititng here looking at my huge tin of paint and thought hmm the front railing needs a paint job.. so i decided to call the real estate and ask them to call the owners to see if I can paint it...

Property manager then informs me that we have been sent a NOTICE TO VACATE... all the houses owned by these people(our landlords) have been taken from our real estate and we nowe have until the 31 octobetr to be out.

We pay quite a bit of rent where we are- and getitng a house for this price is very rare so we were lucky to find it.... so now I have to find a new house then either move BEFORE I have Skyla or move with a new baby.:gloomy:

Ive had enough... Im so depressed. Im in pain, Im huge, we have to pay our mechanic $1000 this week and now I have to find another house.

Were both young (DP is 23 soon) and people are not going to take us over a nice mairried couple.. I know this cause I worked in rentals for L.J.Hooker so I know what landlords look for plus on DP's wages we will be lucky to find somewhere we can afford anyway.

If we dont find a house we will have nowhere to live.

I cant cope with anymore. :crying:

ohhh Adele...I really feel for you, this is REALLY not the news that you need at the moment!!! My thoughts are definitely with you!!:hugs:

None of it is good, but all I can say is wait to move once Skyla is born!!!!! There is no way that you need the extra stress at the moment, and while I imagine it's not a lot of fun to move with a 1-2 month old, I'm sure there will be plenty of people willing to help you out then and it would definitely be better than moving NOW!!! Spend now trying to relax a little, pack up a little bit of stuff (if that nesting instinct is still there!) and get ready to meet Skyla. Obviously I don't know what finances are like, but if you haven't already 'spent' all of the baby bonus, at least it will look good in the account when they do background checks....it's hard, but I'm sure you'll make it!!!! I'm sure you're just kicking that this didn't happen four months ago when you thought you were moving...at least it would have been all over now! I know it's easy for the rest of us to say, but keep your chin up, eat lots of chocolate, and try to stay calm...I'm sure there are plenty of people willing to support you!!!

On a happier note CONGRATULATIONS Lou81 and welcome baby Cooper...how many is that now for August????? Who's up next?

Ourbump - I was just reading your question about clothes sizes for bubs. I am so glad that I have quite a few 0000 for Elise as the 000's are way to big for her. I think a lot depends on the length though. Elise was 7llb 9oz , 52cm long, I dont know if that is average or not, but even the 0000's are too long for her. I would say that she will be in the 0000's for some time yet.

Mrsbutterflygirl: Loved your birth story! Wow, what a lovely quick labour! Makes my 11 hours sound like an eternity!!

Shed: Hope you had a good shopping trip and that Baden enjoyed himself!

Monique: I am keeping my fingers crossed that you dont go into labour before the 10th!! How exciting for you, to know your bubs birthday in advance! I used to joke that I would have Elise on my birthday, I didnt think it would actually work out that way .. in the end thats the way things turned out. I guess its a birthday that I am not going to forget in a hurry!! Thanks for the lovely comments you made about Elise, I have been a bit obsessed with taking photos lately and have been adding new photos every day! Anyway, you mus be getting so excited now!! only 3 days to go before you get to meet your little bub!

Adele: So sorry to hear that you have been stressed out even further with the news that you are going to have to move house! try not to stress too much and wait until after Skyla is born before moving but in the meantime, put the feelers out for any rental properties that might be coming up. Maybe your current real estate can keep an eye out for other rentals for you?

best Wishes to Neneales who is giving birth to Mini-Neneales today:smiliedance:

Uniquey: perhaps all my labour vibes missed the right people and hit you instead - sowwy :o shall try to improve that rotten aim ... Glad to hear things slowed back down to a stall for you, though.

missie_mack: believe me, you are not alone in the not-enjoying-pregnancy club. I'm sick to death of it. It was okay up to about the 7th month. Even the 8th month was bearable. But 9 sodding months?! Mother Nature needs a smack upside the head, if you ask me.

Awww poor adele :( I'm sorry to hear about your home woes. If worst comes to worst, perhaps you can move in with your mum for a few months? She lives locally, doesn't she? Hope things get better soon.

Been quiet in here since this afternoon. You lot better not all be off having your babies, leaving me alone in pain in here! I shall be most miffed! :D

I have nothing new to report and so shall take my leave here. Take care folks! Hope you have a restful night.

Hmmm it seems I have been placed on the early morning watch shift..... I lay awake in bed for so long I finaly mustered up enough energy to get up.

I simply couldnt sleep- but then again I suppose its understandable considering I had dollar $igns running through my head....

We have found a place just around the corner from my mum and nan which will be perfect. Its actually being managed by the people we rent through now so it will be easier to move and transfer bond etc... its just coing up with the extra bond thats going to be a hassle(the new house is $50 more per week).... especially considering the fact that today is D day and we find out how much our "new" car is going to cost to fix- it blew the head:( Could be $1000 if not more apparently....

Then we have bills due next week and car rego.. I just paid my cars rego so atleast thats out of the way..... ahh the things we do at 5am lol

Beany- Nope cant move in with mum- she lives with my nan and there isnt enough room for DP, Skyla and I.... well Im sure we could make room but it would be a pretty awful stressful situation and I wouldnt put that on them:no: Im sure everything will work out.... one can only hope.

So looks like I might be moving this weekend..... so if Im not around for the next few days you all know why.... I just hope we manage to move and unpack BEFORE Skyla decides shes ready to join us.. I dont think I could cope if I went into labour half way through moving....

I don't know if I'll get back on today or not so waves, hugs and kisses to everyone else. I am being induced tomorrow morning at 8am so :fingerscrossed: it all goes ok and I meet my baby sometime tomorrow.
I waver between being terrified and being pleased it is finally happening (and yes I know I reassure everyone else about being induced as I have been induced before, but the last day or so has seen me looking like a scaredy cat). I was a bit teary when I kissed DS and DD this morning, (they are off to school then a sleepover) next time I see them, they will be a big brother and a big sister.

Anyway, must get things here going this morning, a big CONGRATULATIONS to anyone who has their baby today!!!! I'll have to try to get back on later to see if anything has happened!!

wattle i agree on the thank goodness for bubhub .... i often have the tv on in the background late at nite though and there seems to be a disturbing trend of really crappy quiz shows being on every network (apart from abc and sbs) at the same time .... for me if i'm still watching tv when the ads for sex lines/porno for your mobile/internet dating sites come on then i just turn it off now. thank goodness for bubhub!

adele i was sad you were going to get kicked out and then happy you'd found a place all within the 5 mintues of me reading through the posts! praying the money thing works out for you chick, at least there's a place for you to live and close to your mum and nan will be sweet for babysitting for you :)

well nothing really new is happening with me. thought my waters were leaking last night but no such luck  i had my hospital appointments today and they said because i've got my gd under control with diet they would let me go to 41 weeks and then induce ..... so it could be 3 weeks yet. i'm ok with that .... i'm not so unbelievably physically uncomfortable most of the time but i'm actually finding the mental thing more annoying than the physical side. Now that i've said that i'm sure all the physical crapness thats been coming and going will settle in ... ah well.

well might head off. Glad to hear that you're all well and good and i'm also glad that bubhub is finally working again so i'm not missing out on whats going on...

Noosamum Good luck for tomorrow and sending wonderfull positive labour vibes your way!

Beany: I managed to not get hemoroids through pg, but managed to get one during the pushing stage of labour ...oooow! Anyways, its been a week now and it is just about gone! Yay! because of all the pressure "down there" in the final weeks of pg, they are really hard to get rid of, but once the pressure is off, they will go soon enough!

Adele: Congratulations on finding a new house so quickly!! very impressive!!! :fingerscrossed: that Skyla doesnt arrive until after you are all settled in!!!

Yeah, stupid bleeping haemmy's. I'm NOT happy about them rearing their ugly little heads........um or whatever they're rearing. Hopefully they're not rearing offspring  Get some rectinol cream girls, at least it has an anaesthetic in it.

Just completed the silly census, and am off to bed soon.

Probably see you all again around 3.30am??

Hi chicks, just checking in from Mummy-land to see who has pushed what out.

Re the clothes, Baden is quite long at 55cms but he has a couple of 0000's which fit him perfectly. I tried a 00000 on him and his poor little knees had to stay bent!! so that got whipped off again.

Re the haemmy's I got one during labour as well I think, well according to DP (how rude, trust him to point that out) but it seems to have disappeared. I don't know much about them but I hope its gone forever because I hear they are a nuisance.

Must go, the boss is calling. Squawk squawk.

Spiritual crisis averted - there is indeed a God and His benevolence is evident in the existence of Anusol.

Bow down before the Anusol (and then apply it).

So much relief!

Good luck noosamum!!!! So excited for you!!!!!:yelclap:

Has anyone got news on my3sons yet? She had said she'd post on Monday but still no word:no: . Hoping she and bubs are well and just enjoying getting to know one another!!!

To all the other mums-to-be, hope you're all in good spirits and are doing well.
I've been feeling like **** since yesterday morning- I've got nausea, light-headedness, and a really sore eye (actually the entire right side of my face is aching- don't know why)... I've also got a really bad headache. But no contractions or anything vaguely labour-like. I treated myself to a deluxe facial and eyebrow shape, so I look slightly more presentable than I did yesterday (even if I still feel like ****). I've pretty much given up hope of going into labour any time soon and I'm happy to take my initial guesstimate of the 22nd of August now (in the 'guess when you'll give birth' thread)... maybe the lack of aniticipation will help make the time pass slightly quicker.:(

Anyways, catch yas all laterz.

Grrr. Have missed heaps as bubhub wouldn't load up properly for ages. All of my yahoo groups emails keep going missing as well. Stoopid computers.

Anyway, yay for everyone -- my3sons and good luck noosamum! Can't wait to read more birth stories! Sorry to anyone I've missed.

Adele, that sucks about having to move. The same thing happened to me, just not quite so far along. I think I found out eight weeks before tot 1 was due that we were going to have to move interstate for my husband's job -- tough luck, no point in whingeing etc. (believe me, I did enough whingeing about it at home, though!!!). It was hard moving away from family and friends just a month after she was born and we ended up being away from Brissie for 18 months all up, but it's all over now (well, at least I hope so!).

Hey Rafee, it sounds like you are having a migraine, but because the symptoms are the same as Pre eclampsia, then you should go to the chemist and have your blood pressure checked. I hope it is nothing and you are fine in the morning. I am having some pressure in my eye and mild headaches too, but saw my OB today and my BP is fine.
Please get it checked. PE can be dangerous.:hugs:
Hugs,
Jade (Who btw, can relate to the piles as well. I have 2 and my Ob said they would most likely go away after birth, but still.... itchy bastards):( Is that Anusol available over the counter?
Who else hates Mr Braxton Hicks for inventing these damned contractions??? UGH!

congratulations mythreesonsandonedaughter !!!

i can't believe people keep giving birth and coming back here to post ......... shouldn't you be sleeping or something? not that i'm complaining .....

perhaps the image in my brain of giving birth then sleeping for a day or so is wishful thinking ?:o

Congratulations my3sons! Time for a nick-change, I think!

Noosamum: hope your off getting some sleep in front of the flab-buster ads ... I think sleep is a long way off for me yet. The only part of me that seems to get any is my bum when I sit at the computer for any extended length of time

Been clearing up the apartment a bit - had mountains of paperwork all over the place and finally sorted it all out and put it all away. What an accomplishment!

Btw *wriggle wriggle* the Anusol is still doing absolute wonders :D

Will undoubtedly return soon with more complaints. Sleep well, everyone!

Morning everyone. :D Maybe we could change this thread name to lifeline. haha.

Well it's your big day Noosamum, we're all thinking of you. You will be just fine.

Glad things are feeling better for you downstairs Beany. Wouldn't want you to have discomfort whilst posting on bubhub!!!!! My 'To File' folder is getting to the ridiculous stage, so I'd better get a wriggle on too and do some filing today......... yawwwwn.

Well ds is up and about - he's been singing in his cot for the last 1/2 hour, so it doesn't look like he (or we) are going to get any more sleep today. Better go and make his royal highness some toast. :chef:

Go Noosamum- You will be fine!! Cant wait to hear all the news!!:hugs:

Thanks for all the congrats- re the house.... unfortunatly I called at dead on 8am and no one answered so I kept calling and calling and when there was finaly someone in the office that answered the phone- the house was gone... it had JUST been leased, so we missed out.......

I was so devistated... it was a great house too... so then we started the search for somewhere else. I went and looked at one place and decided I liked it so I got DP homke from work a bit early so we could go and fill out an application as they said we both have to sign at the office(fair enough) do over we go.. hand over the deposit of almost $300(equivilent of 1 weeks rent) leave then get home and relise the stupid girl hasnt got us to sign the application!!!

So now we have a battle on our hands- they do not refund the deposit if you decided that you no longer want the property so now I have to try and get it back cause we have decided that we want nothing to do with a real estate that cant even make sure important documents are singed and filled out correctly- plus the system they use fro rent is terrible- she only answered all my questions AFTER I had given her the money so it was too late to back out grrrrr.

I really dont need this!!! But atleast our signatures arnt on any of the documents- and without a signature its not a legaly binding contract so Im assuming thry HAVE to give us the deposit back regardless....

Morning all, :gloomy:
You won't believe this, but I am home, no baby :( .
Arrived at the hospital at 8am this morning, met with Obs for the gel, had a check of baby beforehand and, she has dis-engaged  , had her head way up in the pelvis, just floating around and Obs said far too risky to induce, came home in tears  Obs said come back in on Saturday and he'll have another lo
