Ok this is probably the strangest question I have ever asked anyone but I had an eye twitch on and off all last week and then today it has been happening for the whole day! It is extremely annoying and I mentioned it to one of my friends, she said that she had eye twitching on and off for the first few weeks of her pregnancy.
Has anyone ever heard of eye twitching in early pregnancy..?

Thanks MyLilBlondie. I have never had this before. And lately I have been sleeping like a baby so I dont think it is that. Although I do feel pretty tired today which is weird since I slept well last night and I even went to bed early. But maybe you could be right, maybe it is from being tired...
I dont think I am pregnant as I havent had first AF after m/c yet and I dont usually ovulate naturally so without Clomid it is unlikely I would fall pregnant but I thought it couldnt hurt to check what all you guys think anyways!

Thought I'd but in and say that my eye has been twitching like mad today too. I'm almost 15 weeks p/g, but this is the first time I've had it, so can't provide much support for the early p/g theory.

Just wanted to say that I get this sometimes too, have since I was teenager and it is supposed to be caused by stress. (I first got it when I was doing the HSC)

Don't know if this is definately true, but it could also be from being over-tired! (this usually happens when you are stressed anyway!)

:fingerscrossed: you are preggers anyway!

This thread takes me back! I posted the exact same query in my first weeks of pregnancy, he he, I felt like a bit of a dope! :o
But I don't usually get it, and got it heaps for a few days... I then got the same sensation down near my ovary.

That is weird. I had an eye twitch that lasted for days last week. I thought I was probably tired too. But I was 'just' pregnant (4wks) - maybe it was that?! Didn't have it with DS though.

Wow - have never heard of this one before. But I guess it would be caused by the same thing that causes leg cramps in pregnancy as well? Its hard not to read into it too much - I get muscle twitches every now and then (including eye), but then again, if other women have had it as an early pg symptom, who knows?? Hoping for you Pebbles! I have heard that women tend to be more fertile after a m/c...so maybe you O'd on your own??

Good luck! :) You deserve a BFP!

Eye twitching can also be an imbalance with magnesium/calcium which can happen also at times of stress.

I had the eye twitch too (no, that's not where I got my user name from!) It didn't stop til I was about 4 months pg. Haven't had it since then. It was really bad at the start and I used to think ppl could see it when I was talking to to them :o

Hi Girls, I just wanted to bring this Thread back up to the front as I was just thinking about early pregnancy symptoms and I realised that I had this eye twitch thing around 2 weeks after I conceived. Of course I cant prove that it has anything at all to do with my pregnancy but I had it again a bit last night and I have never had it before I was pregnant. So maybe it is a sign. So if any of you TTC girls get an eye twitch go POAS quick!! :D
