Well at 4 am on Sunday (4th feb) i had a "show" so i knew birth was not too far away. That and the fact that i was 5 days overdue. I figured it would be within the next 48 hrs or so.

So sunday was spent madly cleaning and packing my bags and doing stuff with the kids.

Monday morning i woke up with what i can only describe as slight pains, more like a burning sensation accross my back. These pains were new to me, i had always had "typical" contraction and i hadnt ever felt anything like this. It felt like i had slept on my back wrong if that makes sense. This was at 1.30am.
I didnt think much of them and went back to sleep.
By 3 am i was a bit concerned that i might be in early labour but still unsure. I had to have antibiotics during labour and with my previous history of fast labours i had to get to hospy when i was first in labour so i would have time for the drip to go thru.

We called my MIL to come look after the kids while we went to get checked out. I was expecting to be sent home as the pains were very irregular and not at all painfull, more uncomfortable than anything else.

Arrived at the hospital at 3.30am and was told i was probably in very early labour ( i knew this) and to be prepared for a long wait. Ok so that didnt make me too happy as iwould have preferred to labour at home but hey, in the end it was lucky i was there.
I decided to go for a walk, have a shower and try to fill in some time. Dh- ever supportive- slept in the huge recliner lounge LOL.
At 5 am i sat on the bed and said to Dh- can you get the midwife please? He asked why" and i said "well, i think i need to push". LOL, i will never forget the look on his face! he flew out and the midwife flew in. She set up while i tried to hold on and not push, i wanted my OB to be there and they had only just called him.

Ob arrived at 5.15am and said he had to break my waters as her Head wasnt engaged yet and until that was done she might not come out. So waters were broken, i pushed once and Cody literally flew out. Amongst some "lovely" words and things being said from me. Her head was a perfect shape as she wasnt in the birth canal for long at all. It was 5.24am.

The midwife was absolutely shaken and gobsmaked as were we.
I didnt have any intervention ( no internals) apart from my waters being broken, no drugs and no stitches or grazes either.
It was a very postive experience and i have recovered well.:yelclap:

If you got this far- well done!!

OMG hun congrats!! Been thinking of you and what has been happening. Bubby sounds gorgeous and sounds to me your hubby got off scot free. You should get him to get my DP to show off his bruised, dislocated hand from when i was squeezing both of them :devil6:
