NT end of 07!!!

Hi all,

My name is Emma, 24 with 2 boys 3 and 18months. DH is in the army and as its worked out at this stage we are going to be posted up to Darwin at the end of the year.

Just thought I would pop in and say hi to you ladies and get to know you up there a little better. As our family is scattered in SA and NSW looks as though I need to make myself a few friends so the experience is going to be a little easier:thumbsup:

I am just a little worried about coping in the heat, suppose though that something I have to get use to. Alhtough I am terrible in the hot weather.

We are moving in a few weeks from Darwin but will say hi anyway we were here with Defence too.

As for the heat I can't handle it and nor can my bub that is one of the reason's we are leaving but most ppl like it, Darwin is great apart from that.

The girls on the Darwin thread are all nice so hope you make some great friends when you arrive all the best.

Thats the last thing I want to hear...lol, about the heat being so bad for you and your bub. As I said in my original post, that is what is bothering me the most. Its a 4 year post too, so once we are there TOUGH.

Most ppl like the heat though and cope well with it i'm prob 1 in 1000 that hate it and live 24\7 in the air-con.

My name is Carly and my partner is also in the Army. I've been here for nearly 20 years and the heat still gets to me. However it wouldn't have helped being pregnate for the past two wet seasons. Anyway i'll leave it there because it's getting very late hope to talk to you again soon.

My name is Kylie and i have been up here just over a year and i cannot stand the heat i am like Sha 24/7 in aircon.(We just got our electricity bill Ouch!!)
My partner is also defence amd we a 10 month old daughter.

My name is Liz, i am 21 and marrying Craig 24 in 6 months!!:eek: My partner is a Jockey up here.
We have 2 beautiful kiddies together Anna who is 3 1/2 years old and Cohen who is 10 months old.

We have been here for 7 months?? now and i don't find the heat bad, only time i am in air con is at night time (i need to sleep comfortable otherwise you don't want to know me), we have found our ceiling fans do a great job of keeping us comfortable. But i do LOVE hot weather!
