I have never been more angry with DP than I am right now.
I sold my car a few months ago, because I found out it was a prohibited car (turbo). The money was safely stored in my daughters bank account - or so I thought. I was under the impression that because we both opened the account, we both needed to sign to make a withdrawal. I was wrong
I found the perfect little car yesterday (which I need to get to my perfect new job) - It was only $600, but it is exactly what I've been searching for. I have saved a bit of money withot DP, so I only needed to get $250 out. I rang the bank to find out exactly how much was in there - SIXTY THREE BLOODY CENTS.
Im afraid to ask where the money has gone. I don't know him anymore :crying:
I'm so close to snapping its not funny! :banghead:

What a nasty surprise.
Knowing me, I'd be going off my rocker & assuming the worse!! Hopefully you're not like me & will be able to ask him up front without screaming your head off. You need to know what's going on, whats happened with the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Good luck

if i was you i'd ask him where the money went!
and ask the bank why he was allowd to take it out of the account without your permission.
i would also make him pay the extra $250!
thats just so wrong on his behalf.
i can understand why you are so angry!
:hugs: to you sweet

 i would also freak.
but untill i knew the whole story i would give him the benifit of doubt, maby he has had a good reason, why dont you go to the bank and ask for a statment, that way you will know if he has taken it out in one lump sum (if it was then i would think their was a good reason) or if it was just taken out in small amounts (then i would say he has been topping up his wallet every now and then)
good luck :hugs: and i hope it is not as bad as it might seem

 Well.....
I have just returned from the bank. Only one signature is needed to withdraw. The money was taken out $100 at a time.
I haven't asked him where it's gone. I'm not interested in his lies.
I'm not angry anymore. I'm devistated! Yesterday I was offered the job of a lifetime, and I found the car I needed to get to that job. Now I have to turn down both.
The small amount of faith I had in him has gone.
Thanks for the :hugs: everyone
sorry i would be asking him and telling him to repay every cent... i would be furious.....
:fingerscrossed: all works out sorry you had to give up your dreams

I agree. So sorry to hear it has happened though, that's just not acceptable. I hope he realises that he is the reason you've had to pass up on 2 great offers.

Hi bubbles
Im so sorry to hear this. I know that when DH and I opened our joint accounts we had to specify which ones only needed one signature to withdraw and which ones we both want to sign withdrawals for. Our savings and the kids accounts we both have to sign in front of the teller to withdraw any money.
Is there any family or friends you could maybe borrow the $250 off just until you start the job. Or maybe if you are getting centrelink benefits (not saying you are this is just a thought) you could see if you could get an advance of your Family Tax Benefit and tell them you need it to buy a car so you can start your new dream job

We have only one signature and I have netbank but if dh had of done anything like that I would be kicking his butt out on the street! If it was needed wouldn't he have said I need to do this??!!!
Does he have anything you could take & sell to cash converters:devil6:
OMG, you have every right to be ANGRY!!
  I'm absolutely shocked! :hugs:

  OMG - How stupid!!! Did he think you would never have noticed???!!! Naughty Naughty Naughty :shame:
 That is terrible. What was he thinking? Obviously not about his family. I'd be mad too. Did he not think you were going to find out? Does not matter what he took it out for. He should have discussed it with you first since it is a joint account. I am so sorry you are going through this.:hugs:
