has anyone gotta a call from canberra hospital yesterday or today?? there was a story on the news and in the paper today saying they dont clean very good we got a call tonight saying my son could have an infection or hiv from this hole thing:mad: :crying:

i lived im batemans bay and when jordan was 3 weeks old he had to go to hospital. and now i have just found out that they didnt clean there tools the right way my df and i are feelin so mad and sick over it how can such a big hospital stuff up so bad.

it was from ACT Health chief executive Mark Cormack confirmed yesterday the department was tracking down 97 former patients who had a biopsy of the colon between January 1, 1987 and mid-October last year.

The patients would be offered tests for hepatitis B, C and HIV to "make sure there has been no transmission of person-to-person infection".

The patients affected were up to three years old at the time of the biopsy, used to diagnose Hirschsprung's disease a serious childhood condition that affects the colon and can cause severe constipation.


Unless your baby had a biopsy on thier colon they should be absolutely fine.

I hope everything is fine with your son. No one deserves this. We put our lives under a hospitals care + tools. Improper sterilisation really peeevess me off!
