I've been a part-time cloth mum since my DD was born, but really want to make the step to full-time and I need to buy more nappies but there's so many different types to choose from... so please help me out by giving me your top five modern cloth nappies (and reasons why).
THANKS IN ANTICIPATION!

My top 5 in no paticular order:

Eenee's - my fav thing is how they velcro at the back so no toddler or baby will undo them.

Baby Beehinds - Because they are one size fits all so I can use them on both Ozzy and Isla.

Greenkids: Because they are one size fits all so I can use them on both Ozzy and Isla.

Swaddlebees fitted velour: It feels sooooo soft even after hanging out in the Qld sun all day.

Fuzzi Bunz - because they keep lasting no matter what I throw at it.

My top 5 in no particular order are :

Cherubs Kiss HoneyBoy!s - because they are cute and so well made and very absorbent. They also don't need a cover.

GreenKids - because i can boost them as much or as little as i like without needing a cover. They fit great on Dakota and they stock gorgeous prints and they don't take long to dry.

Bamboo Baby Beehinds - These are extra extra absorbent for night time use teamed with a wool soaker. Great fitting aswell.

Bamboo Bits for Bits - Same reason as above but have cute prints.

Fuzzi Bunz - Same reason as OM and also these work well for us at night time as well.

Well i only have 5 different nappies in my stash, so i'll say which is my fav to least fav:

1. - Bumgenius pockets - great going out nappy and night nappy

2. - Fuzzi bunz, great fitting nappy, very absorbent

3. - Peapods - same as above

4. - Baby Beehinds Bamboo - good fitting nappy, very soft

5. - Ezy nappy AIO - they do for a day nappy but that's about it.

In no particular order:

Baby Beehinds Hemp AND Bamboo
Cuddlebuns onesize
Tots Bots Non-Aplix Bamboozles (esp when bub was newborn, the size 1 was such a good fit on him and so soft, and the size 2 is great now and should fit him for ages)
Green Kids
Happy Heinys Pockets

NOTE: DH prefers Tots Bots Aplix because 'they're easier' so we have a mix of both. Considering I want him to enjoy nappy changes too ;)

Thanks ladies! Can I ask for those who have AIO nappies, do anything of them dry fast (if I wash in the evening, will it be dry by the morning?) and can they put in a dryer?

You can put almost any nappy in the dryer but only on low heat:thumbsup:

I want some AIO's, just saving for them.
might have to part with some of my lovely pockets to get one:(

I can only list three, as i have only tried three.

Anyways, in order of preference:

Greenkids - i prefer one size fits all, and they are so darn cute!

Baby beehinds - the bamboo is great for nightime and the snaps arent as easy to get off as velcro.

Not really too keen on Eenies or AIOs.

Although i have a honeyboy coming, so i hope it changes my mind!:fingerscrossed:

We prefer fitteds and wool though I do have an AIO which is quick dry (snap in inserts)

Bits for Bots bamboo
Pookey Pockets
Kidz In Cloth
Tot Bots bamboozle (snappi - able)
Baby Beehinds (cos its bamboo, but not keen on the fit)

I can't really put them in any particular order, because I love different ones for different reasons! I have tried a lot, and these are the first that come to mind - which are still currently 'available' albeit, hard to get in some cases

Possum Pouches KeeKoBoo (Keester Kovers) - the best night nappy around! Super effective against explosions, absorbent, and has capacity to boost more, dries relatively quickly.

Baby BeeHinds Bamboo - soft, super absorbent, brilliantly adjustable, still fits my big boy and works so well overnight coupled with a wool cover/wrap, and great price. (and doesn't retain smell like hemp can)

Green Kids AnyTimes - great for travelling and carers, so convenient and easy to use, quick drying

Cherubs Kiss Honey Boy! AIO - reliable, suprisingly absorbent and effective, incredibly high standard of workmanship and customer service.

Cute Tooshies Bamboo Velour Delight - so pLush! Nice fit, great day nappy

I have to say though, I loved Erica's fitteds for Matthew when he was smaller (can't wait to bring them out again!) and Sandras Stuffables pockets were the first nappy I hyena'd nearly 2 years ago (no longer avail), and I think you can't go past flats for convenience, value and one-sizedness. Fabbo for younger babies.

My top five are:

1- my absolute fav- Jam Tots Berry Plush AIOs The cover is devine, and I use it over fitteds occasionally. The insert is SO absorbant and a great snap-in design, lined with minkee so bub feels nice down there :D

2- Bits for Bots pockets- I find these a better fit on my bub then the GKs- don't get me wrong, I like gk's too (see below) but the elastic in the Bits for Bots pockets is kinder to Ariene's back-fat

3- Bamboo Baby Beehinds. Ariene still feeds up to 6 times a night. Lots of wee (thank heavens, no poo). Lasts 12 hours, no changes. Need I say more? Works brilliantly with a wool soaker over the top- can't believe I didn't use these earlier!

4- Green Kids Anytimes and Funtimes- soo simple to put on, I love the Hemparoo's (the inserts are good too, but not quite as reliable imo) and great for naps (anytimes) and showing off! (funtimes). I have had fun getting hold of different funtimes to suit different outfits lol!

5- Swaddlebee organic cotton velour pockets- tiny, trim, but very reliable, I love the natural, soft cotton lining as apposed to the usual synthetics, the way they are so low-rise so Ariene's belly can flop comfortable over it LOL and they are SIDE SNAPPING which is my new obsession with mcn!!!

Thanks everyone who replied... some great advice and so many different types to choose from.

I have spent hours looking through websites at the various types of nappies and have decided on Bumgenius pockets. My daughter is in daycare three days a week, so I need something convenient, easy to wash and quick dry. But I'm a bit concerned about the aplix/velcro tabs... is it likely she can rip her nappy off? Anyone had this problem before?

I'm hoping these will work well as a night nappy too, with extra booster.
I haven't used pockets before, so this will be trial and error I suppose as to how much "stuffing" to put in the nappy! Any advice would be really appreciated - especially in regards to inserts and boosters - what's the difference anyway?
