Prep/primary Schools in Wavell Heights area

Hi

Would anyone be able to give me some feedback (positive or negative) about the local prep/primary schools in the Wavell Heights area? We are looking to book our daughter in but don't know anyone with school age children for recommendations. We're not sure about public or private either so feedback from either would be appreciated.

What I did to decide was go and sit in your car outside your local schools either at drop off or pick up time (sounds creepy I know) but see what the parents are like, what the kids are like, how they interact with each other, what are the teachers like towards the kids....then have interviews at all the schools that you have shortlisted and look at their prospectus. Ask some of the mum's in the carpark what they like/dislike about the school. This is what I did and have ended up with a great public school. I have also sent my DS1 to private school before we moved and this state school is on par with the private school. It just depends what the schools in your area are like, you can be lucky. Wavell Heights area should be ok though....good luck :fingerscrossed:
