Myself and a few other mums in the Erina/Green Point area have been attending a Playgroup for the past 2-3 months. We've been made to feel ignored and excluded from the group of church mums who organise it.

We would really appreciate any recommendations of other Playgroups in the surrounding area that are much more excepting and welcoming. Any playgroup recommendations would be great except the Central Coast Evangelical.

Thank you.:)

Hello there, I used to go to a great playgroup at the Ettalong Baptist church. Its on Tuesdays at 10am-12pm. The only reason I dont go anymore is my son is now in preschool on Tuesdays.....its only a small group but I found it friendly. THey do craft, morning tea, singing and storytime. I am not a member of their church and I found that I felt quite welcome....

Maybe you could start your own playgroup?

There use to be a really good one here where i live in Pretty Beach but for some reason it disbanded and never got put back together again.

I am thinking about putting one togther soon.

I go to an excellent playgroup at ourimbah uni and its the best Ive been to. It has students that are doing the tafe course and they are there with the kids as part of their course. Its fully setup with all the art, craft, dressups, sandpit. I highly reccommend it. If you call ourimbah uni and ask for Yarra child studies theyll put you through top organise it, it is popular so you could end up on a waiting list.
Any other questions just PM me.

There is this great website that lists all the playgroups on the Coast, it might be helpful.

Did you find out? My little one is 6 months and I'm new to the area. Every time we pass another baby in the street she gets really excited and then looks all forlorn when they walk away... she needs new friends as much as I do! Please let me know if you find a great group.
