View Full Version : Pregnancy Symptoms
as i was just running my fingers through my hair and seeing it all fall out :eek: , then I got thinking, what do others have as their preg symptoms????????
mine are that I get zits everywhere, and I mean everywhere, on my arms, but, chest, head (I mean amongst my hair) and there are like a million of them :eek:
also my hair falls out, it settles down at about half way through the pregnancy and then i'm fine for about 20wks and then I give birth, and then my hair starts falling out again :banghead:
oh and I get the usual tiredness :sleeping:
what about everyone else?

I already have a sore back. And my pelvic area has popped out already.
Last time I didnt have too many symptoms except for bleeding gums and and overreactive bladder. You can tick those 2 off already as well! :laughing:

I thought that it was the opposite for pregnancies, that your hair stayed and didn't shed until after birth..
I feel for you and the acne I had it bad with dd and ds and there is nothing you can do!!

I have pictures after giving birth and my facelooks like a pizza. I never got it like that while teenager. It also took months after birth to clear. The gp said it was because I had hormones in my system until 3-4mnths after pregnancy!! ARGH It was sooo very painful!!

Main difference with me was the fact that my hair went from curly to straight - and never went back. Well it has a teeny wave in it, but nothing like before.

so far Ive been feeling:
* queezy (but not to the point of actually being sick)
* bloated (look like Im a couple of months already and I normally have a flat stomach so trying to hide that from people!!)
* a little lightheaded - need to be careful getting up
* Lost my appetite
* My heart rate has soured - went for a big walk yesterday with my heart rate monitor on and noticed my heart rate even resting was high and was quite high just walking. Although I was excited to as I told my 2 friends i went walking with so that might have upped it a little bit.
* My skin (so far :fingerscrossed: ) has actually improved. With having PCOS my skin on my face and chest but especially back had acne. So far it has gotten better, so much so that Im trialling being off of my herbal tablets for it! (Naturopath says they are safe for pregnancy but I would rather not take them if i dont have to)
* Im drinking heaps of water and normally you have to force the stuff down my throat! Not sure if this is in the back of my mind or naturally i want it.
* Going to the toilet more - see above, probably the reason!
Im surprised at how different I am feeling this early, I will be 5 weeks on Thursday (sounds better than saying I am 4 or 4 and a half weeks! :D )
Im loving it so far, without a real baby bump its hard to feel pregnant otherwise particularly after all the waiting we did to get here, its like a reminder that we actually did it! Ask me if Im still enjoying it in 6-8 months time!

I don't have a lot to report on at the moment:
*Sore bbs
*Hungry
*Bloated
*I go to the toilet a lot anyway so it's normal!
*Very snappy!!
We will wait and see......
Im just happy to be pregnant! So loving all of it!! (haha famous last words!!)

Its very early days for me, as I only got my :bfp: yesterday, but I've already
* lost my appetite
* feeling queasy/nauseous
* feeling very thirsty
* feeling tired for eg, went for a walk today and also noticed my heartrate being increased and I just didn't have the same energy I did a couple of weeks ago.
* my skin has actually improved. I went off the Mirena IUD in Oct 06, and since then I was like a teenager again, with lots of pimples, but around my jawline and neck, as well as my face. Hope it continues to clear up.

At 5 weeks pregnant, I find I'm:
* Really tired by mid afternoon
* Slighty queasy on and off throughout the day, generally if I haven't eaten for a while, or just after eating :barf:
* Achey back, that I have anyway, but gets worse at end of day
* A bit emotional
* Oh, and I think my boobs are bigger!
And I'm busting to tell everyone!!

Hmmm...nobody's mentioned yet wanting to eat for five - that's my major symptom! I guess some of you guys are dealing with the opposite...
I remember the last times getting really exhausted around weeks 7 and 8, just wanting to sleep all day. Still waiting for that to hit!

OK guys - I am actually having opposite problem to a lot of you. I am freaking out as I don't seem to have many symptoms at all. I ams sure a lot of people worry about this, but apart from sore boobs and maybe slightly more tired, I don't seem to have anything. I thought I was feeling sick a few days ago, but have felt fine now for a few days, and I am really starting to worry, as I am in week 6 now.
Thinking I might go to Dr to get another BT next week if I am still feeling good.

For those out there who have had breast tenderness/enlargement... have you noticed they feel different?
I noticed that they seem to contain small lumps, mainly near my nipple. I was pretty worried at first thinking it could be breast cancer (i had just read an article in a pregnancy mag about how BC growth rate can increase when pregnant) but then when i found that both felt like this in many places i figured it is probably the glands swelling or something...
has anyone else experianced this? should I be worried? :confused:
(BTW i only have little ones so dont have allot of fat for padding so may be able to feel the glands a bit more :o ) :laughing:

Hi
my symptoms so far are sore swollen boobs,terrible insomnia,loss of appetite and bloating.I'm only 6 weeks pg and but my tummy is very bloated. I work as a Body Shop At Home consultant doing parties and last night one of the guests asked me 'are you pregnant or is that just fat?!!' How rude,I said yes I am pregnant but no, the belly is not baby yet! It's a good job I am pregnant or I would have been very offended!

NicoleE - you have probably worked this out by now, but the new little bumps are perfectly normal. This is from WhattoExpect.com
"Your breasts are likely swelling to proportions you never imagined possible (some women have grown a full cup size by this point) and are becoming uncomfortably tender, tingly, and achy — mostly because of the increased amounts of that hormone duo, estrogen and progesterone. Fat is also building up in your breasts, and blood flow to the area is increasing. Your nipples may be sticking out a little more than usual — and though they may look good enough to touch (better than ever, perhaps), they're so sensitive and tender, you'd probably prefer that they weren't. The areola, the dark area around the nipple, has already gotten darker and larger — and will continue to grow and deepen in color over the months to come. On a less attractive note, you'll also notice little goose-bump-like spots on the areola. These bumps, called Montgomery tubercles, are sweat glands that supply lubrication to the areola. And in case you're wondering why all these changes are taking place, here's your answer: They're getting your breasts ready to feed your baby in about 33 weeks."

thanks Kitty. I do have a few extra goose-pimply type bumps on the areola but the lumps i was talking about were internal ones that i can feel. If I wasnt pregnant Id be worried it could be cancer but because of all the changes that are going on and the fact that there are multiple ones (and ive never felt a cancerous lump) Im assuming at this stage that they are normal and just a part of the changes.
thanks again :thumbsup:

Oh yeah and Fuller Boobs, but they are not sore yet. Is that strange that they are fuller but not sore? When I was pregnant with Peanut I had REALLY sore boobs...
