My mum just gave me this recipe and i thought id share, its so yummy and the kids love them. i have some in the oven now ready for school tomorrow.
what savoury things do you all bake. will you share?

SAVOURY PUFFS
300 ml cream (lite)
150 ml milk
4 eggs beaten
l onion finely chopped
300grams diced bacon
salt & pepper to taste
1 cup grated cheese
l packet of pastry mix ( where you buy breadcrumbs & flour)
Extra cheese
Nutmeg

Cook onion and bacon. Mix in with beaten egg, milk, cream, salt and
pepper and cheese and pastry mix
Mix well.
Put into greased patty tins. sprinkle with extra cheese, dust with nutmeg.
Cook for about 15 minutes on 200 degrees.

Cheese and Bacon Muffins Recipe
Egg(s) 2 . lightly beaten
Polenta 1/2 cup(s)
Sour Cream 1/2 cup(s)
Butter 100 gm melted
Cheddar Cheese 1 cup(s) grated
Milk 1/2 cup(s)
Bacon Rashers 4 .
Chives Chopped 2 tbsp
Self Raising Flour 1 1/2 cup(s)

Preheat oven to moderate heat 220°C. Lightly grease a 12 hole muffin pan. Combine polenta and milk in small bowl, cover and stand for 20 minutes. Saute bacon over heated non stick frying pan for 2 minutes. Add Chives stir for a further 1 minute. Remove from heat. Combine flour and sugar into large bowl stir in sour cream and bacon mixture. Add butter, eggs and polenta mixture, stir until well combined with half the cheese. Spoon prepared mixture into muffin pan, half way up the sides. Sprinkle with remainder of cheese. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden. Remove and serve warm

Thanks for the savoury puffs i will try that one and ill hvae a look through my books today and post some up here.

Cheese and vegemite scrolls

sheet puff pastry
vegemite
cheese
spray oil

spread vegemite onto the puff pastry and sprinkle some cheese on top. roll up and cut into 1.5cm. lay flat onto a tray with grease proof paper and spray the tops.Put into a 200 degree oven for about 10mins.

(you can swap vegemite for bacon too)

Just a quick one for the kids as a snack or when others arrive unexpectant
